Disclaimer: I do not own the Teen Titans

"What do you want?" Robin wheezed raising his head to look up at the man the hated. With every ounce of strength Robin had left, He tried to lift his weakened body off the ground but his arms collapsed under the weight. He was too exhausted. Slade walked to where the fallen boy lay. Looking down at him he said,

"All you had to do was say yes Robin." Slade bent down and his grasp tightened around Robins collar, as lifted the young hero up his eyes narrowed, and his tone became more dangerous. "I could have made you, molded you, into the perfect fighter. I would have given you everything you'd ever need." He growled, and then in a softer voice he said, "All you had to do was accept."

Slade let go of him. Robin fell and kept falling his cape bellowed around him as he yelled clawing at the air.

Robin fell out of bed with a cry. He was drenched in sweat and breathing heavily. It took him a moment to collect his surroundings. The first thing that came to him was that he was still alive. It had been a dream. Just a dream. Robin untangled himself from his sheets and stood up. He was shaky. It had felt so real.

"I have got to stop eating Star's cooking." Robin said to himself as he turned on the light. But Robin knew better. He knew that despite however horrible Starfire's cooking was, that it wasn't the cause of his nightmare.

Slade had been inactive for sometime. Things were getting quiet in Jump City. Almost too quiet. There hadn't been much crime, not that that was a bad thing, but it made Robin feel slightly uneasy. As if it were the calming before the storm.

His friends thought that Slade was probably just licking his wounds from their last encounter. Yes, Slade had taken a hit to his pride, but that certainly wouldn't stop him. Robin scowled. Thinking about Slade always got him aggravated.

Looking over at the (his) clock Robin saw that it read 4:00 am. The florescent red numbers seemed to taunt him. It was too early to get up, yet he knew that he wouldn't be able to get back to sleep. Most likely if he tried to sleep he would just toss and turn afraid that another nightmare might plague him. Robin gave a sigh. He might as well go train while he waited for the other Titans to get up. He knew that a long workout would help to calm his nerves. If he got to tired later he could rest. There wasn't much left to do anyway.

Robin had worked out until seven. By then the majority of the Teen Titans had woken up, Beast Boy being the only one still asleep. By the time he had gotten up Cyborg had already finished cooking breakfast for the team. Beast Boy had to settle for having toast since Cyborg cooked almost everything in the refrigerator that had once been breathing (able to walk). Throughout the afternoon nothing had happened of consequence, unless you'd call Raven hitting Beast Boy upside the head with her book when he wouldn't shut up, something new, which it wasn't.

Eventually the alarm system went off. "Finally we get some action!" Cyborg said standing in back of Robin, who was typing on the computer to brining up the information.

"Sensors are picking up a disturbance on the outskirt of the city. I can't get a visual" said Robin frowning. "Well let's not wait forever!" Beast Boy said impatiently. Robin stopped his typing and ran to the door, "Titans Go!"
