This is very loosely based on Taylor Swift's "You Belong with Me" video.

I looked up from my work, out the window, across the way into Sokka's room. He looked upset, so I figured he was on the phone with Yue, his girlfriend. She was probably upset about his joke in English earlier. She just didn't understand his sense of humor, not as well as I do, anyways.

He hung up his phone and flopped on his bed, and pulled out his computer. I knew what he was doing, so I pulled out mine too. I was right, he was on Facebook. I opened up the chat box.

Hey, u ok? I typed.

Yeah, just tired of the drama. He typed back.

I guess it just comes with dating the princess of the school. J

I wish there was someone cool that came without the drama.

I started to type in the words that danced across my mind every time I thought of him: I love you. But he logged off and closed his curtains.

I sighed and turned up my music and continued my homework.

The next day was a Friday, one we had off, and I was sitting out front of my house reading my favorite book, Hunger Games, when he came up and sat next to me. God, how I loved his smile. It was sweet, and always joking, just like him. Except he didn't joke much anymore, and it was her fault. She changed him. Then I saw the reason he came outside. Yue drove up in her pure white convertible, her blonde hair back in perfect ponytail, like always. He got in, and she pulled him in for a kiss. I so badly wanted to go up and punch her in the face for the way she pushed him back and glared at me.

Later that day, there was a home game. We were versing the Dragons, and it was going to be a big game. The band was playing, so I'd get to watch him play. But, Yue was cheerleading captain, so we'd have to play what she told us to.

After the game, which we won, Sokka walked out of the locker room to see Yue flirting with Hahn, his friend and team mate. He started yelling and left in a rage after breaking up with Yue.

Saturday came around and with it came the Homecoming Dance, which I didn't plan on going to. I was browsing Facebook when I saw that Sokka was on, I looked over my shoulder and saw his back facing me, all dressed up in a tux. I clicked on his and saw the words:

R u going 2nite?

I typed back: Nah, studying.

L

I looked behind me and the words spun through me again as he closed his bedroom door behind him. I fought with myself for a moment, then closed my computer and got ready to go to the dance.

I was still having internal battles as I got out of my car and headed for the gym entrance in my long green dress. I will do this; it may be my only chance. I thought. So I took a deep breath and opened the door.

According to the reaction of the crowd, I either looked really good, or completely foolish. Then Sokka saw me and did a double take. Really good. I thought as he started to push his way through the crowd to reach me.

When he reached me he opened up his mouth and said the three most stunning words ever.

"I love you."

I blinked and pulled him closed and whispered, "Do you know how long I've been waiting to hear you say that?"

"Hopefully as long as I have," he said as he pulled me back and smiled at me.

"Since the day we met?" I asked, pulling him closer, standing on my toes, pressing my nose against his.

"Wrong, since the moment I first saw you," he said, and pulled my mouth to his.

I heard a muttered, "Finally," most likely from his best friend Toph, who was holding hands with Aang. I heard a sigh of romance, probably from Sokka's sister, Katara, who was, no doubt in the same position with her boyfriend, Zuko.

I'd say and they lived happily ever after, but that is such a cliché. By the way I don't own ATLA, or You Belong with Me. Please review; you'd make me a happy person.
