A/N: Aaaaaw...Kataang fluff! Maybe not the best writing in the world...but there I warned ya!
Disclaimer: I could lie and say that I did own Avatar but I figure that since I'm not Azula Toph would catch me and turn me in so its easier just to come clean now: I don't own Avatar: The Last Airbender. sniff
A Kiss
For once everything was running smoothly. Aang was well on his way to learn the art of firebending and Katara could not be more proud. Zuko was proud of him too, he just didn't show it in the same way she did. She watched him and told him she proud everyday. "You are doing great," she'd say. "I'm lucky to know a guy this good at firebending. I'm lucky to know you."
It was after one of these comments on a sunny afternoon that Aang sheepishly looked at Katara. "You know," he said smoothly, a grin slyly placed upon his pale face, "I've always liked you."
"I know." She answered softly, completely engrossed in his eyes. Although they usually gave off a brown or grey tint, when the sun caught them just right, as they did this day, they looked blue just like hers and matched his arrows.
"Do you want me to tell you something?" Aang said, still grinning.
"Okay…" she said suspiciously. Then she got excited. "What?"
"Well…I think its better if I tell you what I want to say not in words.'"
"Oh really? If not in words how would you tell it?"
"I don't know maybe in a…" Before finishing his sentence, Aang gripped Katara's jaw pulling her face into his and opening into a deep long kiss. It lasted seventeen seconds before finally coming to a close.
Aang and Katara, both breathing heavy, stared at each other in shock before kissing again….and again…and again. They could not stop the high they were getting with adrenaline rushing through their veins. The only sound that could be heard besides the constant smacking was Aang's gentle, "I love you's." He said the phrase at least fifty-nine times in all most inaudible language and coming out more like, "ve oo."
