Twas a silent night in the famous Mexican city of San Angel. Not one person nor creature stirred from their slumber, not even as a strange

equine figure jumped from roof to roof. Stopping at one house, the figure jumped down and landed softly in front of the door, the faint light revealing

that the figure is a unicorn, her face being hidden thanks to a cloak she wore. Using her magic to unlock the door, she quietly entered, then froze to

see a man on the couch. After observing him, she sighed in relief when she realized he is asleep. So she quietly headed for the stairs, but she

bumped into a table, causing a vase to fall. Fortunately, she caught it with her magic before it could hit the ground. Carefully placing it back, the

mare carefully went up the stairs and snuck down the hallway. Stopping at her target door, the mare carefully opened it to reveal a room full of toys

and decorations. At the end of the room is a window, showing the moon in the night sky as its light shone on a small baby, sleeping blissfully in a

small crib. Smirking, the unicorn began to approach the crib until tripping on one of the toys, causing her to stumble and slam against the wall. The

impact caused one of the picture frames to fall and crash with a loud shatter, making the baby cry. Upon hearing the voices of the adult residents, the

mare knew there isn't much time left. So she rushed towards the crib and grabbed the child with her magic. She quickly created a portal and went

through, just as a man ran into the room. "No!", he shouted as he ran for the portal, but it closed at the last second, causing him to crash into the

wall.

The unicorn panted from the adrenaline, then relaxed while placing the crying baby ( which has now turned into a foal ) in a basket full of blankets.

She turned around to place the cloak on the coat rack, and the crying suddenly stopped. Turning around, she saw that the basket is empty, except for

some black oil and marigold petals. "No..", she whispered before shouting, "NO!". Meanwhile, at a house at the far edge of Ponyville, a young mare

looks out the window at the falling rain. Carol, is her name, and for so long she longed for a sister, so should wouldn't be so alone. Her thoughts were

then interrupted by the sound of crying. Carol rushed over to the door and opened it to find a small filly wrapped in blankets colored black and gold

on the porch. Letting out a gasp, she immediately brought the poor thing inside from the cold. Carol sat by the fire with the crying bundle in her

forearms and hummed the little thing to sleep. The mare smiled to herself. Carol at last has a sister of her own, and is alone no more.
