Part One
The sun didn't shine today, in fact it hid behind the clouds refusing to show its face. Yet the sky still held a sense of blueness to it.
Yawning Pepper Potts pulled into the parking Lot of Stark Industries. With Tony away on Avengers business it was up to her with the help of Happy to hold down the fort. Which meant a long list of things that needed to be done. Still sitting in her car another yawn escaped her lips. Giving her self a good shake Pepper opened the car and stepped out. She was welcomed by Happy who handed her a cup of coffee. The moment she took a sip of the brown liquid a smile spread across her lips as the boost of caffeine started working it's magic.
"Thanks Happy, now let me guess the appointments are here." Pepper said.
"Yup every single one." Happy replied.
The moment they turned the corner they two of them looked upon a lobby filled with well dressed mixed of men and women. Looking down at her phone it read project appointments. With Tony coming out as Iron Man Stark Industries has become swamp with small business owners that wanted to be apart of their big family. With most of the competition weeded out this was the last set of appointments she had to go through before giving the list to Tony.
Taking a deep breath Pepper took a big gulp from her cup and walked into her office. Giving a nod to Happy the door opened as the first person entered. Time seemed to go by slowly as each person came and went. Nothing really stood out to her but she did find a few that were not bad and she wrote them down. But as the day went on Pepper made sure to smile while all she wanted was to go to sleep.
Standing to stretch her legs Happy walked in she thought he was going to tell her that was all of them but he merely shook his head.
"We got one more." Happy said.
Pepper nodded she as glad for after this she could back to the countless others things she needed to do. But the moment the door opened her once tired eyes were now wide awake. For she locked eyes on a familiar set of baby blue eyes and short blond hair. The gentleman walked toward her and held out his hand. Pepper forced her smile to remain on her face as he shook the his hand.
"Well what a small world we live in isn't it Ms. Potts?" The blond gentleman asked.
"Yes it is Mr. Peterson." Pepper replied.
"Shall we get this under way?" Mr. Peterson asked.
"Indeed." Pepper replied.
Now Pepper knew why the sun refused to come out today. For even Mother nature knew a storm was coming one that might even be worse the Obadiah himself. For life as she knew it just got more complicated.
