A poem for Katniss:
The first day we met, outside in the cold
I couldn't help but feel so bold.
You're soaking wet hair damp from the rain.
Your eyes filled with horror and pain.
You looked hungry and suffered torn and defied
I couldn't just stand there and watch you die
5 years later your sister was called
You volunteered looking strong a appalled
Low and behold I was called next
I was there to save you from this hex
In the justice building you looked shy
Tormented and beaten but not one tear in your eye
When I looked at you for the firs time in years
I was full of this feeling that could only be described as cheers
From that day forward I promised to protect you
To love and to hold you and never forget you
We sit here now our kids have grown up
Strong and brave and tuff enough
When ever we kiss it feels like the first day we met
But not so cold tormented and wrecked
I love you Katniss and you love me
Finally, finally we are free.
