A raven haired middle aged man was lying in a bed.
He was hooked up to a heart monitor and all sorts of medical equipment.
A sad look was on his face.
He was about to die, and he knew it.
Even before the doctors said it, he knew that he wouldn't get out of the hospital.
The very bed he was laying in would be his grave.
Suddenly, the door of his room opened.
A sad smile appeared on his face as a crying six year old boy raced towards him.
Like his dying father, the boy had raven hair.
His mother entered the gray hospital room. She had bags under her red eyes.
''Don't cry, Ash. It will be fine,'' the father said to his crying son.
But Ash didn't stop crying.
''Don't die daddy, don't die!''
''Even if I die, I will live on right there,'' the father pointed at Ash's heart.
Before Ash could say anything else, his father grabbed his hand.
''Now listen here, Ash. In a few years, you'll be a Trainer, like me. Remember what I said about your first Pokemon?''
''Your first Pokemon is your best friend, forever. He is your partner. Treat it well and with respect, and it will be kind to you and respect you.'' Ash recalled.
''Remember those words, Ash. Your starter Pokemon is where you build your entire career on.''
He heaved a sigh.
''Take good care of your mother for me.''
His head turned to Ash's mother.
''Delia, thank you for everything.''
She nodded and burst into tears.
''I've lived a good life.''
The line on the heartbeat monitor turned flat along with loud, long beep.
Several nurses burst into the room.
''Dad…no…''
A nurse pushed Ash and Delia out of the room.
''Dad…''
R.I.P. UNCLE ROB.
A/N
You thought I was gone, didn't you? Nope, just working on Warrior Chapter 2 and keeping up with school. I also had an accident with my finger last week where my fingertip was almost gone, so writing is pretty slow.
Hope you enjoyed!
