We Can Hardly Stand The Wait

"Sara, you're being childish.", Tegan spatted at her stubborn sister.

"It's dumb shit like this that ruins careers. Do you want everyone to take us even less seriously than they already do?", Sara said with near genuine concern. She really didn't mind the thought of doing some silly Christmas song with Tegan but did it have to be fucking chipmunks?

"This is added promotion. Also, if someone doesn't like one of our covers they don't really remember it."

"What if someone hears us for the first time through this? We are going to look more ridiculous than The Veronicas."

"I don't want someone who goes out looking for chipmunk songs to be a fan of ours anyway. And who the hell are The Veronicas?"

"They are … look, it doesn't matter. You aren't going to drop this are you?", a defeated Sara sighed.

"Not a chance, sis.", Tegan let out with a smirk, hissing over her words.

Sara dropped her head slightly and slinked over to Tegan. Wrapping her arms loosely around her sister's waist, she placed two soft pecks on Tegan's lips. Tegan beamed with delight when she heard Sara softly agree to the song with a simple, "Okay, Tee Tee.", as she nuzzled into her neck, oblivious to the plan Sara was formulating in her mind.

Sara was really happy with where she and Tegan were in their relationship finally. Lindsey was perfect as a fake girlfriend because she was around a lot for work and was someone they both got along with well even though Sara had suspicions early on. But now she felt secure. Secure enough to shake things up with a little game.

The morning after the agreement, Sara woke up extra early next to an exhausted Tegan. They had celebrated their 30th birthday a few days prior and had just been extra busy with things. Today was their day to relax and the first day of Sara's game. Sara stretched and flexed her creaky joints as she took in the sight beside her. Tegan laid sprawled out like a rag doll in her dark mauve low rise panties with lace around the edges and thin, pale green, cotton camisole. Sara enjoyed her usually more butchy sister's recent feminine streak. This gave her confidence to explore her more masculine side of herself that she was reluctant to show in the past, especially during the forced, failed relationship with Emy. Sara was always the little one, the one who could be stood over and tossed around. Sara liked it at first but as she discovered and explored herself, she felt like she was more than the helpless baby deer Emy treated her like. Tegan was different, Tegan was her equal. Of course, her sister felt protective of her but also wasn't afraid to call her out. Emy always sounded patronizing, she hated her tone. She would correct Sara with a huge grin on her face like Sara was a child who didn't know any better. Even when they broke up, Emy smiled. Someone who smiles that much can't be honest.

If anyone was honest, it was Tegan. She was raw and forceful. She had professed her not so sisterly love for Sara many years ago but Sara wasn't ready, wasn't ready to be herself and accept her soulmate. The one made for her, of her.

Sara almost forgot her plan as she thought about her wonderful sister and now lover. But the opening of Tegan's dreamy brown eyes snapped her back into the present. Time to begin phase one ...
