Percabeth- Junior Year
Annabeth's POV-
I don't know what to do. I've been away from Percy for 2 months and I still won't see him for 3 months, 2 weeks, 1 day, 8 hours, 28 minutes, and 13 seconds, (not that I've been counting). Anyways, I miss him and I can't tell what to say to him, let alone what to get him for Christmas. At the moment, I can't decide between a keychain trident, a scrapbook of our trips/quests/near-death-experiences, a phone case with a trident and an owl surrounded by a 6 (For 6 years of Poseidon and Athena cooperating- Also, the Hephaestus kids invented a chip that you could put in phones to make them anti-monster), a miniature poseidon bobblehead, or a new design for his cabin. While I was trying to figure it out, lying on my full sized bed, there came a knock at my bedroom door.
"Come in!" I shouted.
Now, I don't know what I was expecting, but I know it wasn't Aphrodite. She walked in, a glimmer in her ever-changing eyes, and said, "Now Annabeth, I'm surprised you haven't figured out what to do with this little predicament."
"Do you mean the Christmas presents, because I can figure it out I mean…" I stammered, still a little bit in shock.
"No honey, I mean not seeing Percy until Christmas Eve," Aphrodite shimmered. That's not a metaphor or anything, she literally shimmered. It was like she was glowing.
As I processed what she had just said, Aphrodite, feeling a little nosy, looked around my room. Apparently feeling my room was adequate enough, she walked back to me just as I said, "I mean, there's nothing I can do. It's not like I can pack up and leave to go live with him or something." Even as I said it, I sounded unrealistic.
"Why yes you can dah-ling. You see, I've already talked to your father and he agreed it would be good for you," she giggled, "I also talked to Sally and she said you can sleep in the guest room. By the way, Percy doesn't know, so if anyone asks, you don't know anything."
" Um, ok?"I asked, barely containing my excitement, "But what would I be doing all day? Percy will be at school."
"Oh dear, I thought it would've been obvious! You're going to Goode High School with Percy!" she exclaimed. "Also," she added, "Your bags are packed, your passport and plane ticket is ready, and the limo is waiting outside. You leave in 5 minutes."
"WHAT!" I yelled. "I can't leave, I haven't even had time to process it yet!"
But Aphrodite was already pushing me out the door. I barely had time to yell goodbye to my father before I was pushed into the limo and the door was closed.
