One cloudy night in the shrieking shack, curled up on the couch, were two boys. Although happy to spend the night together, lycanthropy- and other subjects-could not be avoided.
"Alright, heads I say it first, tales you say it first,"
"I don't know why we're doing this..."
"Well," began Sirius, "Seeing as we both can't decide who goes first, I thought this would be a fair game."
"I know that, but... but what other couple in the world had to flip a coin to decide who says the 'L' word first?"
"We're not just 'another couple' though, are we?" grinned Sirius.
"Truth," he admitted bluntly.
"Okay... three...two...one-" Sirius flipped the coin into the air; it flew across the room, and landed under the table. Slowly he got up to retrieve it.
"Nice aim," observed Remus. Sirius grinned and shoved Remus back into the couch.
Just as he bent to pick up the coin Remus spoke:
"Hey Pads,"
"Yea?" he replied, coming out of the coin's trance.
"I love you."
Sirius looked surprise for a split second, until his mouth broke into a smile.
"You cheeky bugger!"
The two locked into an embrace, half tackling, half snogging on the worn out couch.
