Gaius only stared down at the papers before him. He was distracted, definitely. Maybe one more peek...
He glanced into the mirror again, examining his raised eyebrow. All day, he couldn't stop looking at it. He couldn't even concentrate on his usual papers without taking a glance in the mirror every few seconds.
Was there something about it that was bothering him? He never had the need to peek at his eyebrow this much. Of course he would give his eyebrow a quick check-up once in awhile, but today, he just couldn't stop. Maybe it was because it was looking good on this particular day. More than it usually did. Maybe it was because Gaius wanted to touch it, to feel the thick hair underneath his fingertips...
He began petting it, stroking it to and fro, his hair creating a wave whatever direction he brushed it. Though he was technically the one feeling it, he felt like the eyebrow was almost a different soul. Something aside from his body that was living on its own.
He continued stroking it, imagining his brow purr with satisfaction. It felt, soothing. Not only because it felt nice to Gaius, but because he felt like the eyebrow itself was getting pleasure from his gentle caress.
There was no one there. Nobody needed to know. Gaius positioned the chair so he sat directly in front of the mirror. He started stroking his eyebrow faster and harder. He didn't want to stop. He felt the need to keep going. He needed more. His rubs became more passionate as he dug his finger more into his skin. He felt his desire rising with each brush of his hair. He needed more. More...
"Gaius?"
Gaius turned sharply and realized that Merlin was standing at the doorway staring at him in curiousity.
"Is everything okay?"
Gaius could only stare at him with his finger still on his eyebrow.
"I was... just finishing up papers."
Slightly embarrassed, he pushed his chair towards the desk again and pretended to work on his papers again.
Merlin still wore a look of interest. "I swear Gaius, your love for that eyebrow will never change."
"We only have a mild relationship."
"Mild?" Merlin snorted.
"Merlin, don't you have chores you are supposed to be doing?"
"Oh, yeah. I'll leave you two alone then." Merlin grinned and made his way to his own room.
When he shut the door behind him, Gaius stared at the mirror again. I promise, another time.
The End
