The Phantom floats wild and free,
And oh so effortlessly,
He glides through the nights black as an abyss,
And trots about in the morning mist,
He hides his herd from harm's way,
And defends them like it's childs' play,
He watched over his mares and foals,
Taking out his leadership role,
He sneaks to Sam on moonlit nights,
Checking to see she's alright,
He snorts to her as he turns away,
Letting her know he cannot stay,
He lopes through the night, back to his herd,
Making sure everything is alright, and none of them disturbed,
Settling in for the night to keep watch,
He takes his leadership to top notch,
Snorting through night,
Longing to see Sam,
He let her know he was alright,
By neighing across the dam.
