'Take this, hollow!!' Ichigo shouted as he dealt a blow to the hollow.
Before the hollow completely disappeared, it shot a tendril in Rukia's direction. Ichigo saw it and took the blow for Rukia.
'NO!! ICHIGO!! " Rukia cried as a tendril pierced through Ichigo's stomach.
'Ichigo why did you take that blow for me! " Rukia sobbed.
'Because ... I...I… have always loved you Rukia .When I first saw you, I fell in love with you.'
'Please Ichigo, hang on.' She sobbed quietly.
'I will get you to Urahara san' s shop. Just hang in there.'
Ichigo smiled at her and said 'No Rukia. Stay here with me'
'But,' Rukia continued to sob.
'Please Rukia' Ichigo coughed up some blood,
'For me.' Ichigo said quietly.
Rukia sliently nodded.
It was a few minutes later till Ichigo broke the slience.
' Thank you for helping me protect my sisters. Remember that I have and will always love you. He whispered those last words as he closed his eyes for eternity.
'Ichigo I… never got to tell you that I love you too.'
Rukia silently cried.
1 year later.
When Urahara and Yoruichi had found Rukia, she was still hugging Ichigo. Urahara had to pry Rukia from Ichigo. Rukia then landed in Yoruichi's arms and cried herself to sleep. Ever since then, Rukia was always doing odd jobs around Urahara' s shop. After Ichigo died, she had closed up not talking to even Renji, her best friend. She only gave a simple nod or shake to questions. At dinnertime, she excused herself and went to the graveyard to visit Ichigo. After a few hours. Urahara thought that it was strange for Rukia to go back so late. He decided to go to the graveyard to check on her. When Urahara got there, he found Rukia just beside Ichigo's grave with a knife stabbed into her heart. She had killed herself because she couldn't live without Ichigo anymore. Urahara just smiled. He knew that Rukia would not be able to bear the pain of not being with Ichigo. 'Rest in peace Ichigo and Rukia'. Urahara said as he walked back to his shop.
