A/N: Merry Christmas guys! I was bored, my family were boring so guess what? I wrote fanfiction! I hope you liked it! R&R! I do not own Shinjeki no Kyojin/Attack on Titan whatever you want to call it
Of all the things Levi hated the most it was Christmas. It just so happened that he was born on Christmas day so his birthday got over looked every year for the holiday.
The ravenette was sat down on the black leather couch in his home, staring blankly into the crackling flames before him when a sudden cool wind blew through the house, signalling the arrival of a certain brunette.
"Levi!" Eren called happily, vaulting over the back of the couch to sit next to the older man. His cold hands and arms encircled the latter, shocking him out of his trance-like state. "Shit Eren!" Levi shouted, pulling away. "Your hands are freezing!" The younger half of the couple looked down at his lap, mumbling a quiet apology. Levi couldn't stand it when the boy was upset so despite his whole body being cold, he moved closer to him, gently placing a chaste kiss on his lips.
Eren grinned after his lover kissed him, his turquoise eyes shining brightly. "Merry Christmas." He said cheerily. His smile soon fell as he saw the way Levi reacted: pulling away from him, glaring at the fireplace again. "Levi-san? What's wrong?"
"What's wrong?" The older man repeated in a mocking tone of voice. "What's wrong, Eren is that it's Christmas." He spat. The young brunette was taken aback at this statement. He was going to open his mouth to ask what was wrong with it being Christmas when Levi held his hand up, silencing him before he started.
Levi settled against the back of the couch, throwing his arm across the top and folding one leg over the other. "The 25th of December isn't just Christmas. It hasn't been for years," he glanced over at him. "It's also my birthday." He heard Eren gasp in surprise. That's how everyone reacts Levi thought bitterly. Everything's just Christmas, Christmas and more fucking Christmas. No one ever thinks about my shitting birthday and me.
"Don't act so surprised brat." "Surprised about what?" "You knew that it was-" Eren shook his head vehemently, scooting closer to the shorter man, tucking himself into his side and resting his head on his shoulder. "I didn't. I had no idea it was your birthday." The older man 'tched' and began to gently tease the long strands of his lover's hair.
The young brunette sighed softly, pulling away. "I take it you won't want the present that I got for you then." Levi's ears perked up. "You got me a present?" He asked. As a plan formed in his head, Eren smirked and stood up. "Well…" He said, drawing out the vowel. "You did say that you didn't like Christmas as no one remembers it's the same day as your birthday." He took a couple of steps forward before he felt Levi's cool grip around his wrist.
"What did you get me?" The ravenette asked. Reaching into the back pocket of his jeans, Eren pulled out "A weed?" The older man frowned. The brunette chuckled. "No Levi-san, its mistletoe. When two people are stood under it they're supposed to…" He felt his face flush pink. "Su-supposed to kiss." He stuttered out quickly.
Levi stood rolling his eyes and tore the mistletoe from the boy's hands, pressing his lips hard against his. When he pulled away, he said "You didn't need that silly plant just for an excuse to kiss me brat."
Eren bit the corner of his bottom lip before wrapping his arms around the short man. "Happy birthday Levi." He nuzzled his nose into Levi's dark hair, breathing in his scent. "And I promise never to forget your birthday. Ever."
