So, based off the poem found here: ?viewid=595768. Possibly AU based on how the epi goes on January 9th (with the whole theory of Rebecca that I find interesting). Just a little ficlet for your enjoyment. Sorry if it's bad.

Peter,

Remember when I got sick that one Christmas Eve a few years back? I thought you'd hate me forever for ruining your Christmas with Elizabeth, but you didn't.

Remember when I came over for dinner, and I dropped that plate after you had just finished washing it? You said it was one of Elizabeth's finer dishes. I thought you'd hit me, but you didn't.

Remember on the Keller case, when Elizabeth got kidnapped? I thought you'd kill me (I wouldn't blame if you did), but you didn't.

Even after we got her back, I thought you'd never want to talk to me again, but you didn't.

Remember when I made that deal with Hagen to free you from jail? And all those cons I commited and was a pawn in because of it? I thought you'd send me back to prison, but you didn't.

Remember when you told me to be careful around Rebecca? I thought you'd say "I told you so", but you didn't. You didn't know how bad she was. It was good advice though, advice I didn't take.

There were a lot of things you did do. But the things you didn't do make just as much of an impact.

I'm sorry, and thank you- for everything.

Neal
