Dolly

"Dolly." Johnna yelled excitedly out the window as she and Jackie were heading home from the grocery store.

"Yeah that's a dog that looks like Dolly huh?" Jackie asked as she looked over and saw a woman walking a Dalmatian.

"Dolly, stop and get her mama." Johnna told her.

"Sweetheart that's not Dolly, that's just a dog that looks like Dolly." Jackie explained to her.

"No, it's Dolly, go get her." Johnna insisted as big fat tears started rolling down her face.

"Johnna, I promise, that's not Dolly." Jackie assured her.

Soon Jackie pulled into her driveway and unloaded the groceries.

"What's wrong with her?" Nick asked Jackie, after seeing Johnna's tear stained face.

"We saw a Dalmatian and she insisted that it was Dolly and that I needed to stop and get her." Jackie explained.

"Dolly's right here kiddo." Nick said as he nodded at the floor where Dolly lay, currently letting Hundley use her as a pillow.

"Dolly!" Johnna exclaimed happily as she rushed over to the dog.

Dolly's tail started flapping wildly.

"Is Hundley really asleep?" Jackie asked.

"Yep." Nick replied with a smile and a shake of his head.

"We have to get a picture of that." Jackie said.

"I did already."

Dolly's tail was flapping so hard it hit Hundley in the face.

Hundley woke up with a start but once she realized what had hit her she burst into a fit of giggles and then immediately grabbed Dolly's tail.

"Oh, no, no kiddo, we can't pull Dolly's tail, that will give her an owie." Nick said as he immediately got down on the floor and pried Dolly's tail out of Hundley's grasp.

Dolly just continued to lay there unfazed by the whole thing.

"Good girl." Nick said as he pet the dog's head, which caused Dolly's tail work double time.

Jackie shook her head as she went to unload the groceries.

It was a good thing Dolly was so patient with the kids!

The End!
