"Hey Karkles!" Terezi screeched after flinging her front door wide open.

"Yeah, merry 12th pedigree's day to you to," Karkat grumbled, whilst being crushed by Terezi's over enthusiastic hug. She cackled and let Karkat inside her hive.

"So where are my presents?" She asked.

"Where are mine?" Karkat retorted.

"They're already by the tree," She said, motioning to the evergreen covered in red lights and a white star on the top.

"Your's are still in the vehicle." Karkat said, pushing her towards the kitchen. "Busy yourself with food or something while I get them out."

"Okay," Terezi said, totally confused. While Terezi did her own thing, Karkat quickly grabbed stacks of presents and set them under the tree. He then went back into the kitchen, his nose was red and runny from the cold winter weather he wasn't use to.

"You finally done?" She asked, "Because I'm nearly dieing over here to open my present."

"Yea I'm done, don't get your pants in a bunch," Karkat said, grabbing her hand and leading her to the living room. He was grateful that his face was already red from the cold, and she couldn't smell the blush covering his face.

"Jegus!" Terezi exclaimed, "You didn't have to get me so many presents! And they're all so prettily wrapped!" Karkat couldn't get a word out before she was all over her presents, slobbering all over them.

"Good to see you like them!" Karkat rolled his eyes, grinning.

"Here, open your present first!" She said, plopping a square gift with teal gift wrapping on it. Karkat ripped it open to find a brown packaging box.

"Gee thanks I've always wanted a box," Karkat said sarcastically.

"Your present is in the box, dumb ass," Terezi said. Karkat opened the box up, and inside was a black steel sickle.

"Wow, thanks," Karkat said, smiling like an idiot now.

"Yea, I just thought it'd be way better than your brightly colored one, that tastes absolutely ridiculous, and probably looks even more so," Terezi cackled.

"Yea, well why don't you open your presents?" Karkat asked, setting his new sickle down. Terezi jumped up and started to tear open the multitude of sparkley red presents. There were all sorts of chocolate's, knick knacks, and cool things. Terezi kept "Oo"ing and "Ah"ing at whatever she got. She loved them all, and could not wait to open the next one. Finally she had opened her last red wrapped present.

"Thank you so much for the law book!" Terezi grinned before planting a kiss on Karkat's cheek.

"You're welcome," Karkat muttered, cheeks flushed. "But there's one more," He went and picked up a very small box, wrapped in newspaper. Terezi was slightly disappointed by the appearance, but opened it with enthusiasm anyways. Underneath the paper was a red velvet jewelry box. Terezi's heartbeat picked up. Karkat gently took the soft box from her hands and knelt in front of her.

"Terezi Pyrope, will you marry me?" Karkat asked, snapping the box open.

"Oh my gog!" Terezi gasped. Karkat raised an eyebrow, now very nervous for her answer. "I- Yes!" Terezi exclaimed, jumping up and wrapping her arms around Karkat's neck. Karkat grinned

and hugged her back. He then pulled away, and slipped the ring on Terezi's left ring finger. She held her hand up and licked it to admire the ring. It had a silver band with small red ruby's surrounding a larger teal gem adorning the middle.

"It's so beautiful," She gasped.

"Yea, well, so are you." Karkat murmured embarrassed at his cheesiness. He leaned in and kissed her on the lips. When they pulled away, their foreheads stayed connected. "I love you,"

"I love you too," Terezi said, with the most sincerity he's heard from her in a while. Then they kissed again.
