He hates birthdays. They only remind him that his one year older.
They say an average ninja only lives for twenty eight years. Hatake Kakashi's death is long overdue. He is just living on borrowed time. So he thinks, he'll have to die soon. But ninja's don't simply drop dead. He has to die on a mission.
Ninjas who die by old age are rare. And they are looked down upon. Scum, they say. After all, their line in work is dangerous. Someone who manages to survive would be just as bad as failing a mission and coming back alive. Kakashi will not let history repeat itself. He will break the chain.
The white fang's son swears he will never let his teammates die. He will overcome all odds, do whatever he can to make sure they live. People say it's because of his past. That he is regretting his actions.
Kakashi thinks otherwise. He just wants an excuse to die.
