Ash and his friends are heading back to Lumiose City after the eighth gym battle; Clemont and Bonnie were getting ready to see a few of their cousins and uncle again. Clemont smiled, "Oh I get to see all of my cousins and my father" says Clemont. "Clemont your father is cool" says Ash. "That's because he's Blaziken Mask" says Clemont. "Pikachu" says Pikachu. A woman who looks like Clemont is walking down the streets. "Clemont, Bonnie, my dear babies!" she cries. "Mom!" cries Clemont and Bonnie. They walk over to her and hug her, but it was really hard to hug her because she is pregnant and her stomach was huge. "Mom, when are you due?" asks Clemont, pulling up his glasses on his face looking at his mother's baby bump. She laughs, and says "Today Clemont, you and Bonnie will get an adorable new baby brother or sister soon". "Is the baby coming with us?" asks Bonnie. "Yes I have to work, but your brother is good at caring for you and he can care for your new sibling too". "So how are your little friends?" she asks. "You're the scientist in that lab at Snowbelle?" says Ash. "Verna? That's you?" says Serena. "Yes I'm just not wearing my lab coat but it's me" says Verna. "Verna? What about your new baby?" asks Serena. "Pika pi" says Pikachu.
"Your work at Snowbelle City?" asks Ash. "What about the baby? A little baby can't survive the low temperatures in Snowbelle City" says Clemont. "Don't worry, Clemy, your baby brother or sister will go to you and join you on your travels so you won't have to worry" says Verna. She looks at Clemont and Bonnie, "Go pack up for your new sibling" she tells Clemont. She leaves, with a smile. "How cool, I've never had a baby on my journey" says Ash. "Congratulations, Clemont and Bonnie you'll get a cute baby sibling that will join us" says Serena. Clemont loves babies just as much as he loves science, cooking and inventing. He could already imagine the warm feeling he'll have cradling his future baby sibling. "Let's go to my house, since my mom is rarely home she normally leaves little surprises for us when she visits" says Clemont. "We have a busy mom and dad" says Bonnie. They go into Clemont's house, on the way there two of Clemont's cousins, Zitrone and Lim, who are his age and look like exactly like him, except they are twins and Zitrone has darker hair than Clemont and Lim has lighter hair than Clemont and were like his best friends, were eating at a café nearby. They were unnoticeable, "Clemont sure does have a lot of cousins" says Ash. "It's like he has a thousand" says Serena. Clemont goes into his house. He discovers his mother gave him a new bed and has cleaned and repainted his room.
"That's a big surprise" says Ash. "Pika pika" says Pikachu. Clemont laughs. He discovers there's a diaper bag on his bed with all the baby care supplies they can ever imagine on his bed. He puts the baby supplies in the diaper bag and puts it in his backpack. "There now I can take care of my new baby sibling" says Clemont. The phone rings, "Who is it?" asks Ash. "It's just my older cousin, Limon" says Clemont. He picks up the phone; Limon is calling from Professor Sycamore's lab where he now works. "Hi Clemont" says Limon. "Hi Limon" says Clemont. "I heard you're in town again" he says. "Would you pick up my siblings from Preschool?" he asks. "Sure" says Clemont. "See ya" he says. "Bye" says Clemont. "I'm gonna go and pick up my some of my little cousins" says Clemont. Ash, Serena, Clemont, and Bonnie go to the preschool in Lumiose City. Meanwhile, at the preschool little quadruplet four year olds who resemble miniature Clemonts are playing in the classroom while they're little three years old brother is reading a book. Ash, Serena, Clemont, and Bonnie walk into the classroom. "Cousin Clemont!" they call they grab their gifts. Clemont giggles. They rush over to him, one of them tugs at Clemont's pant leg to cue to him that they want a hug; they hadn't seen him in a long time. "I know you guys miss me" says Clemont, he kneels down to hug them. "What are these?" asks Serena, noticing their arms are full. "Its gifts" says one. "For the baby" says the other. "How nice" says Clemont. "They sure are nice presents" says Ash. Clemont puts their gifts in his backpack.
Alexa arrives, "Alexa what's that?" asks Ash. "Looks like a basket" says Bonnie. "Not just a basket" says Serena. "Dedenne" says Dedenne. She approaches them. "It's Alexa!" cries one of Clemont's cousins. "Hi Alexa" they say. "Clemont, I heard your mother is having a baby, right?" says Alexa. "Yes she is, I heard it will be born today" says Clemont. "I heard it's joining all of you on your journey, well I thought a laundry basket would be the best bed for the baby on your journey for naps and when you camp out" she says. She hands the laundry basket to Clemont, there's bedding, a pillow, and blanket in there. "It's perfect, not only it would be a good bed for it but I can rock it gently when it needs to" says Clemont. "Cool" says Ash. "Wow I never knew how good Clemont was with babies" says Serena. "Clemont how do you know how to take care of babies so well?" asks Ash. "Clemont babysits" says Bonnie. "Yes my older cousins and aunts and uncles are busy, but two of my uncles live in Lumiose City and a few live nearby, you see my mom has sixteen siblings and so I have a lot, and I babysat the younger ones that lived locally in Lumiose City or just close by" says Clemont.
"Clemont you're a good big brother and cousin, you take care of Bonnie, you babysit your cousins, and you will take care of your new baby sibling" says Alexa. She leaves and they say "goodbye". They go to Professor Sycamore's lab; Limon is outside, shirtless, watering the plants out in front. Limon walks over to them, "Hi guys!" he says to his siblings, and he hugs them. "Hi Clemont, and hi little Bonnie" he says. He hugs Clemont and Bonnie. "Limon, you're done with outdoor work" says Professor Sycamore. "Come inside" said Limon. Inside Limon has his shirt and lab coat back on. Sophie was surprised to see Clemont and Limon, "I see the family resemblance, Limon I've always thought you looked exactly like your cousin" she says. "He does" says Ash. "Except… taller" says Serena. "Sycamore, my cousins and their friends are a here!" calls Limon. "What a surprise" says Professor Sycamore. "Clemont, Bonnie you're getting a little sibling soon, right?" he asks. "How did you know?" asks Bonnie. "Bonnie!" says Clemont.
"Limon told me all about it, isn't Verna your mother?" asks Professor Sycamore. "Yes" says Clemont. "Ever since Limon started working for me, he's told me about her", a flashback appears, Limon is calling Verna then Clemont in Professor Sycamore's lab. Professor Sycamore walks over to ask him who the woman on the screen is, and he tells him it's Verna, Clemont and Bonnie's mother and his aunt. They were surprised to hear that. They say their goodbyes and they leave. Bonnie tugs onto Clemont's pant leg of his jumpsuit, "Clemont?" she asks. Clemont looks down at her, "Yes Bonnie?" he says. "After mom gives our baby brother or sister to us, can we take it over to Professor Sycamore's lab so Limon, Professor Sycamore, our younger cousins, and Sophie can meet it?" she asks. "What about your other cousins?" asks Serena. "I won't be able to show it to all of them" he says. "What about Zitrone and Lim?" asks Ash. "You guys are like best friends but your cousins" says Serena.
"Oh these guys?" asks Clemont. "They're probably off doing their own thing" says Clemont. "They're on a journey?" asks Ash. "Pika pi" says Pikachu. "No I'm sure they're here in Lumiose City, they just sometimes help my dad out in his shop, sometimes my older cousins and the ones my age and a year or two younger help my dad" he says. "But one of our Uncles is like my dad's best friend" says Bonnie. "Who is that?" asks Ash. "Our Uncle Clemons" says Clemont. "I was named after him" says Clemont proudly. "How many brothers and sisters does your mom have?" asks Ash. "Pika pika" says Pikachu. "I have sixteen aunts and uncles from my mom's side of the family" says Clemont. "Wow that's a lot" says Serena. "My old friend, Brock had eight siblings, your mother has sixteen? That's a lot" says Ash. "We have lots of aunts and uncles and cousins" says Bonnie.
"It's nice how everybody's noticing you're getting a baby sibling" says Serena. "I can't believe my dad is Blaziken Mask" says Clemont. "He's so cool" says Bonnie. Blaziken Mask is on top of a building and Clemont and Bonnie wave to him, "Hi dad" they greet. Blaziken Mask waves back. Zitrone and Lim are walking with Alexa. "So you found out about our new baby cousin?" says Zitrone. "Yes, Zitrone" says Alexa. "Look it's Clemont" says Lim. "He's like our like our best friend even though we're cousins" says Zitrone. They walk over Clemont, "Hi Zitrone, hi Lim" says Clemont. "Hi Clemont" says Lim. "Why did you come over here?" asks Serena. "We were talking with Alexa and Uncle Limone" says Zitrone. "Uncle Limone told me how excited he is" says Lim. "I'm sure my dad is, I'm excited too myself" says Clemont. "I can't wait until it's born, it will be with me, Clemont, Ash, and Serena" says Bonnie. They laugh.
