I Thought
When I saw her I thought she was Kikyo.
She wasn't.
I thought I would kill her for the jewel.
I didn't.
I thought she was weak.
She is strong.
I thought she would shun me.
She befriended me.
I thought it would only be us.
Our pack grew.
I thought she had died and I cried.
She came back.
I thought she would keep her promise to me.
She was gone for three years.
I thought I would never have her.
Her heart.
Her soul.
Her body.
She gave me them and so much more.
I never thought, in the never ending darkness of 50 years
That one little girl would be the light.
She is my light.
My love.
My Kagome.
