I did something a bit different to practice first person.

I own nothing but my own ideas


I am no Kira.

Yet a notebook sits in front of me, that is familiar to those who can put together the story, connect the dots.

Kira's messengers were not always as subtle.

Do you remember, the time one fell into the hands of the Mafia?

A death note.

An infinite cursed paper generating machine.

Not a spot of ink resides inside of it.

A paper cutter rests near it.

Short short stacks of paper sit on the table, ready to be sent out into the world.

Some might be sent to artists, who might draw a person on them, and write a name.

Still, others will be used by letter writers, thinking about a person who will never receive the letter.

Most, will probably just be used as stray paper.

Even that could bring disaster.

A to do list written to call a specific friend. A note. A name and phone number.

It does not matter.

I have not written in the notebook.

I own it, and I send its pages out into the world.

It is a means to an end.

A message.

I wanted to try something that can be read backwards and forwards. I wouldn't say the meaning particularly changes if you do, but some of the smaller nuances are different, I think, and it was interesting to write
