Day 1
My name is Berry. If you are reading this then you must be part of the rebellion. The new war. Today was the day that the war ended. 13 is officially gone. I am Prisoner of new President Snow. He and I, we were friends once. When we met it was during the war that nearly destroyed the planet. World War 7. We were soldiers, in the same squad. After that war things settled down and we became friends, the country was in a difficult stage. As the country grew apart we seemed to grow together. we knew everything about each other. But one day the television was showing a live debate about how the country should be ruled. It was a complicated time, all the other countries had been destroyed anyone left was forced to come to America. Snow and I disagreed very much about things after seeing the debate, but we held on and steered clear of those conversations. One day he left to go to the big city and before I knew what was going on he was president. I knew what he was trying to do, so I left my home to go to the only rebel base left, where I also became president. He made a new country and America was forgotten, and Panem was created. Soon the Districts turned and the dark days did very much damage. I was living in 13 and got out just before the first bombs hit. I was captured and brought to Snow's mansion. He told me himself that he would have let me be free if I didn't know all his secrets. He has promised to let me live, and he will never break that promise. The more I think the more I realize how he is going to make me wish I were dead.
