AN: Fortunately, it was a female co-worker who caught ME doing this!

There were a couple of times a month that Stella wasn't allowed out of the lab. Those were the days she and Mac had agreed to set aside for 'paperwork day'. She was responsible for things like expense reports, schedules, manpower reports, requisitions, etc. The things the second-in-command did because the head of the crime lab didn't like to.

Those were the days she got to wear nice clothes. Skirts and high heels, because she didn't have to hover over a body or chase scumbags. Stella liked to have music on while she worked (said she couldn't concentrate if it was too quiet), and she was known to bop around to the music and sing along. Most of the time, it was unconscious, and she'd probably deny it if you mentioned it.

As a result, there seemed to be a higher amount of foot traffic on the floor on 'paperwork day'. Male foot traffic. Even the head of the Parking Enforcement Division found a reason to come to the lab on 'paperwork day'. These were the days that some the guys in the lab, and regular visitors, like Don Flack, were grateful for the glass walls. It allowed for stealthier ogling.

On this particular day, Flack thought Stella looked exceptionally lovely. From his vantage point outside the AV lab, he could see her sitting at her desk 'chair dancing' to a song he could almost hear. She had a tendency to turn the tunes up loud, but not enough to disrupt the lab.

"She looks real good today, huh?", Danny said, startling the tall detective.

"She always looks good. Why are you lookin' at her, anyway? Haven't you got your own girl to admire?", Flack growled.

"Well, for one thing, if you ain't got the balls to ask her out, she ain't never gonna be 'your girl'. And for another thing, I can look, can't I?"

"No, you can't," Flack snapped.

"Pussy!" Danny spat. "You hungry? You can pine for her while we eat."

"Maybe she wants to grab lunch, too," Flack suggested as he headed toward Stella's office.

Danny watched as Flack got to the door of her office, then froze. Stella was moving from her desk to the file cabinet (doing a little dance across the floor), reading a file, and was so engrossed she never noticed Don standing in her doorway. Flack had an odd look on his face, and Danny knew if he didn't intervene, he'd never get to eat.

When Danny got to Stella's door, he knew what Flack's problem was. He heard what she was singing and suddenly, it became his problem, too.

"… I don't want anybody else, when I think about you, I touch myself…"

Stella was bent over the drawer of her file cabinet, with her back to the door. Flack was pale, had broken out in a sweat, and seemed on the verge of hyperventilating. Danny… well, Danny wasn't doing much better.

Lindsay saw the two of them standing outside Stella's door, and approached them to suggest lunch.

"Hey guys, let's… what is wrong with you?" When she heard what Stella was singing, she smacked Danny in the head. "You, stuff your tongue back in your mouth, and get him", gesturing to Flack, "a cold shower. Stel!," she called out, "stop singing and let's go to lunch."
