I sat there in the cell, leaning on Ed's shoulder as his bandaged head was resting on my head. We were imprisoned in the building the Homunculi were currently posted in, and who currently had their own army of chimera's. His legs were stretched out, and he had his trench coat under my right leg, the one that Envy broke in our little spat. My left leg, made of automail, was dented beyond repair. I'm not even sure I can walk on it anymore… Alphonse was sitting across from me; his suit of armor was dented badly. I grinned up at him as Ed grinned into my scalp.

"Its time for our grand finale boys." I rasped. We were going to escape, or die trying. Take out as many of them as we could, and demolish as much as possible. I looked at my pocket watch. Five minutes to get them both out before I blew.
Im the Pheonix Feather Alchemist. My flames make a bang, and this ones going to be catastrophic. My body is a living bomb. I could allready feel the flames licking at my insides. It was too soon… I don't want to leave Edward.

Lurching upward, taking Ed with me, I dashed for the door. Alhonse and Ed were on my heels. We crashed the door to the ground, and left in a dead run. Before long we came to a fight. Thousands of chimera's swarmed us in seconds.
Calling forth whiping fires to my finger tips and roaring flames to my tongue, I burned and slashed the best I could. My leg was failing, and I was slowing. Surrounding us with fire for a breif moment I checked my watch again. Two minutes. Damn! Im running out of time! I let the flames drop, and I took off, plowing a way towards the door for us.

We reached the exit with thirty seconds to spare. I shoved them through the door, stopped running, and put up a wall of flame behind us. They turned as soon as they didn't hear my feet moving. I leaned up agenst the door frame, using it as a crutch for my failing leg. My shoes were burning to the cement now.
"Come on Mercy!" Ed called.
With so many light years to go and things to be found
Im sure that well all miss her so.
"I cant Ed! I'm gonna blow!" He started to come towards me, probably to drag me with him. "Al! Get him out of here!" I ordered.
Al potato-sacked Ed and started running. He murmered, "I'm sorry Brother, Mercy."
No need to be sorry Al. Ed was screaming at me, "Mercy! Al, let me go! We cant leave her! Mercy! Mercedes! Please! I love you, please!" His wordsfaded as the roaring of flames spread over my body. I ran back into the building as flames covered my body, and flaming wings sprouted, limping all the way. "Mercy!"

My body erupted in flames, my burning pyre like wings arched up agenst the ceiling. I let lose a phonixes wail, drowning out the horrid screams and roars of anguish from the chimera's. When the flames filled the room, It all exploded around me and my wings burst upward through the roof. My shrill screech sounded bone chilling, even to me.
"Edward!"
We'll all miss her so.

I heard his wail, seemingly far away, "Mercedes! Come back! Please…"
And then it all faded into gold…
