I haven't written anything in a while, and this is my first published fanfic. Please read carefully and tell me if I made any major mistakes.
Thanks!

ch. I
Inuyasha, Sango, Miroku, Shippuo, and Kirara were all gathered around the Bone Eaters' Well, waiting for Kagome. She had been gone for nearly two weeks, and everyone was worried about her. Inuyasha was being forced by the other four, plus Kaede, to go get her. Demons had been plaguing the surrounding villages like wildfire, and they were sure more jewel shards were close by. Inuyasha was reluctant to go because of his latest fight with Kagome.
Dammit all, Inuyasha thought. Why do I have to always be the one to do everything?
He growled, not wanting to go.
"Inuyasha," Miroku said. "Tell Kagome why we need her. Don't just get into a fight and make her reluctant to come."
It was evident just how hard-pressed they had all been without her. Shipuo had cried a lot, Inuyasha was sullen and refusing to talk to anyone about Kagome, and Miroku had stopped groping random women and asking them to bear his children.
"Hey! If we got into a fight, it would be her fault, not mine!" Inuyasha growled, ears twitching.
Exasperated, Sango pushed him into the well before a fight broke out between the two.
Once on the other side of the well, Inuyasha jumped through Kagome's window, which had been left open to let in a warm fall breeze.
Looking over at Kagome's bed, he was shocked. She was asleep, but did not look good. Her face was unusually pale, and she kept tossing on her bed. Going over to her, he heard her murmur something. His ears twitched.
"Kagome?" he asked. Her eyes fluttered open, and she gasped.
"Inuyasha, what are you doing here!" Kagome exclaimed.
"I came to come and get you, but you just had to be sick! Stupid humans, always getting sick." He really didn't mean what he said, but was just crabby from all the demons. Naraku had been haunting his dreams lately, forcing him to see Kagome get hurt over, and over, and over. It had been torture for him.
"I'm not sick, Inuyasha!" Kagome yelled, standing up. "I just have a headache, that's all."
"Well, you sure don't look too good to me," he teased, trying not to laugh. It was just like her to deny something when they fought. " Shippuo won't shut up about you, and Miroku and Sango are sick of his whining, so they wanted me to come and get you."
"Well, my stuff's all packed, if you really want me to come back."
Inuyasha just 'Fa'd ', and nodded.
Kagome got out of her bed, and walked downstairs. Her pack was by the well. She was surprised Inuyasha had missed it. She kept thinking to herself, I know I'm sick, but as long as we're not doing anything major and it's just Shippuo, I'll be fine.
With that thought, She grabbed her oversized backpack and jumped down the well, Inuyasha trailing right behind her.
