Marinette was happily sketching in her notebook during break. Alya was off sick, and Nino and Adrien were talking about some football match, so she sat on her own. Not that Marinette minded. She liked sketching, and it was good to have some peace and quiet for once.

Until someone sat down next to her.

Looking up, Marinette saw a good looking boy from the next year up. He had messy black hair, and dark eyes. However, Marinette didn't like his smirk.

"Hello," he said, winking at her, "I'm Janice,"

"Uh Hello," Marinette relpied awkwardly, "I'm Marinette. Pleased to meet you,"

""Marinette, what a beautiful name," Janice smirked putting his arm around her. Marinette squwirmed. This was a little too close for comfort. "What do you say about joining me for ice cream after school?"

"I'm sorry, I have homework," Marinette shuffled uncomfortably.

"But you'll love it!" Janice cooed, "And afterwards we could go around to my place, and have a little fun..."

Marinette lept up. "I'm sorry, but I have to go!" she said quickly grabbing her bag. However, Janice grabbed her wrist.

"No! Don't go yet!" he stood up aswell.

A little way off Adrien had noticed that something was wrong. Marinette looked really uncomfortable, and he didn't like the way Janice kept staring at her. Like a lion looking at his prey, Adrien thought angrily. Well, he wasn't going to let any friend of his endure that while he was around!

Leaving a surprised Nino behind, Adrien stomped over to where Marinette and Janice were still talking.

"Oh, but my sweet, surely there is something I can do to entice you..." Janice offered.

"No, Stop it!" Marinette relpied, trying to pull her wrist from his grip.

"No!" Janice answered, more forcefully, "I will never let my princess go!"

"And what gives you the right to call Marinette your princess?" Adrien demanded, folding his arms.

"A-Adrien?" Marientte exclaimed. She then continued to try and free her wrist from Janice's grip.

"Well if it isn't little Agreste Junior," Janice leered, "This is none of your business. Marinette has no boyfriend, so I can flirt with her all I want,"

"You're wrong!" Adrien said angrily, and just to back up his point, he added: "She does have a boyfriend! And even if she didn't, you have no right to flirt with her!"

"Really? Then who is this boyfriend?" asked Janice.

"Me," Adrien stated.

Marinette went as red as a tomato, and Janice finally let go of her wrist in surprise.

"Come on Mari, let's go," Adrien genly took her hand in his, and, just to annoy Janice, kissed her on the cheek.

After they had walked away, Adrien finally let go of her hand.

"Sorry for pretending to be your boyfriend, it was the only way I could think of to make him top," He apologized, blushing slightly.

"No, it's fine, I don't mind if you pretend to be my boyfriend, I mean it would be nice... I mean! I mean... uh... Thank you!" Marientte managed to say, still blushing.

"Oh, it's no biggy, if he bothers you again, just tell me," Adrien shrugged, "If you want I can even ask Chat Noir to sort him out for you,"

"No, no-no, it's fine..." Marinette stumbled, "You know Chat Noir?"

"Uhh... Well I wouldn't say know him, know him. I just... met him once and he gave me his phone number since a lot of Akumas seem to happen at our school..." Adrien quickly made up.

"Well, ok. Thanks again, " Marientte said as the bell rang.
