Ginny, Hermione and Hermione's cousin, Courtney, were walking down the stairs of The Burrow. They had heard voices, so they assumed that Fred, George, Ron and Mr Weasley were back with Harry. They arrived at the doorway to the kitchen, and smiled at Harry. He grinned back, which made Ginny blush.
"Tell me what, Arthur?" asked Mrs Weasley, in a dangerous sort of voice. Courtney assumed that they were having some sort of argument, one that Mr Weasley was about to lose.
"It's nothing Molly," mumbled Mr Weasley. "Fred and George just - but I've had words with them -"
"What have they done this time?" said Mrs Weasley. "If it's got anything to do with Weasleys'
Wizards Wheezes -"
"Why don't you show Harry where he's sleeping, Ron?" said Hermione.
"He knows where he's sleeping," said Ron. "In my room, he slept there last -"
"We can all go," said Hermione pointedly.
"Oh," said Ron, cottoning on. "Right."
"Yeah, we'll come, too," said George -
"You stay right where you are!" snarled Mrs Weasley.
So Harry, Ron, Hermione, Ginny and Courtney climbed the stairs up to Ron's bedroom. When they got there, Hermione introduced Courtney to Harry and Ron.
"This is my cousin, Courtney," said Hermione. "Courtney, this is Harry and Ron"
"Hi," said Harry, holding out his hand to shake hers.
"Hey," said Courtney shyly, and her eyes flicked upwards to his scar. "I only got here just before you did."
"Oh, ok," said Ron. "Hey, I haven't seen you around school before. You are a witch, right?"
"Oh, yeah I am," said Courtney. "I just transferred from Australia, because my parents moved here."
"Oh!" exclaimend Ron. "So that's why you have an accent ..."
"Courtney blushed. "To me, it sounds all of you have an accent."
They all chatted for a while, then went downstairs to help with dinner, after the arguing had stopped, of course. When they went outside to help set up the tables, they found Charlie and Bill having a fight with the tables, in mid-air. Fred and George were cheering, so Courtney went over to join them.
"Hi, I'm Courtney, Hermione's cousin," said Courtney.
"Hi, I'm George," said George.
"And I'm Fred, the better looking twin," said Fred.
There was a loud bang, Bill's table had knocked one of Charlie's table's legs off.
Courtney cheered and asked," How do you tell the diference?"
"You can't," they said in unison. Courtney laughed, and the twins grinned.
Then dinner was served. Courtney was starving, so she helped herself to everything, while listening to Fred, George and Charlie discuss the Quidditch World Cup.
"It's got to be Ireland," said Charlie thickly, through a mouthful of potato. "They flattened Peru in the semi-finals."
"Bulgaria have got Victor Krum, though," said Fred.
"Krum's one decent player, Ireland have got seven," said Courtney shortly.
"They're not all that good," said George. "Do you play Quidditch, Courtney? Me and Fred are beaters for Gryffindor, and Harry is Seeker."
"I play Seeker too," said Courtney. "In Australia I had a Nimbus Two Thousand and One, but my parents got me a Firebolt for Hogwarts. They said I deserved the best."
Fred nearly choked on his steak. 'A Firebolt? Harry has one too! We'll have to see who's best, won't we! Oh, and could I have a go later on? Harry's quite protective."
Courtney giggled and said, "Sure."
George looked suspicously between them. He was sure he saw something when they're eyes met. Well, he'd make sure that never happened again. He would never admit it to anyone, but when he had first spotted Courtney, he had immeadiately thought, HOT! George was not one to be jealous, but this he just could not take.
