Leaving It All Behind:
This is a song I wrote, and then added into Sanami Matoh's Fake. The characters don't belong to me, but the song does. And I'd like to thank my friend Mari for reading it for me. Feel free to C+C. Enjoy
Thought I knew who you were. Then you turned out to be everything but what you said. I can't take the lies no more. I'm fed up and tired and I don't want to deal with this.
Ryo stared at Dee holding back his tears, "So..you lied to me, all this time? Let's play a joke on Ryo, is that it, huh?" Dee stared back at him, for a second, not knowing what to say:
"At first, but y'know, you got a hook on people!"
"Yeah, how can I believe that now?"
Chorus:
Why can't you be yourself? Like a flames broken down inside. Can't you ever tell the truth? Nobody ever said they didn't like you otherwise
Ryo walked off, leaving Dee to stand there, silently mourning. "Ryo!" Dee reached his hand out, and remembered how it all had started, and across the way, Ryo was thinking the same thing.
Walking somewhere with you today. Talking and everything seems cool, Then you have to make up another lie. Thought we were friends, so why do you have to be like that. And it gets on the wrong side and I'm not right
Ryo looked up in the night sky, as tears slowly fell down his face. His slid his hand across his face where the streak marks from the tears lay. He pulled his hand away and slammed it against the sidewalk railings. Tears startedstreaming even harder down his face, as he fell to the ground.
Letting out a sigh of pain Dee shut his cell phone, "He's not picking up..."
"What's the matter?" JJ said jumping onto Dee. Dee pushed him off and headed towards the door. 'I have to find him and fix this.' He thought to himself.
Chorus
You say that you don't lie. You say that it's all in my head. Can't you see that I'm not dense? I'll know that you're lying through thick and thin.
Dee found Ryo sitting in the park next to the sidewalk railings, "I traced where you police care was...Ryo...listen you didn't let me finish earlier." Ryo turned away not saying anything, as he wiped the tears away from his eyes, and tried to hide the redness they had caused. "Ryo, I used to tease you about that becauseit was fun, but now...I...I love you. I've never felt more serious about anybody in the world, and I don't want to see you cry because of me." Sitting down, he pushed the hair out of Ryo's face.
"You mean it?" Ryo looked up at him sternly, "Is that the truth, or is it just another lie?" Sighing, Dee looked up at Ryo.
Slowly he leaned in and kissed him, "Of course I'm telling the truth." Ryo looked up at himblushing andsmiled.
Why can't you be yourself (yourself).Like a flame broken down inside (down inside). Can't you ever tell the truth to me. Thought we were friends so why do you have to be like that (I thought we were). Nobody ever said they didn't like you otherwise. Leaving it all behind.
" Dee, never lie to me again." Ryo smiled, this time pushing a piece of Dee's hair out of the way.
