Sherlock Holmes was good in a solving the hardest cases in less than a day. He had, also, amazing memory. He could "google" a street in his mind. Sherlock could do a lots of things. But there was one thing he wasn't good at – babysitting.

And one noon he was obligated to do a favor to his friend John, and keep his eight-months-old daughter. Sherlock couldn't say anything because John just dropped his daughter at 221B Backer Street and left her in there with only couple of words:

"I'm in such a rush. Please, keep Rosamund. I'll be back soon. Here you have a milk and a dippers. Milk shouldn't be too hot but either too warm. She is sleeping right now."

And Sherlock just wanted to have a nice cup of tea with Mrs Hudson.

Well, at least, John said that he'll be back soon. But one hour has passed and John didn't appear. He sent a message to Sherlock that he'll "be probably a little late".

After all, she was just a baby. What could possibly go wrong? , Sherlock was wondering.

Half an hour later, he was regretting that he even thought that.

The little baby started to cry that loud that Sherlock wanted to do a drug and escape somewhere where was not existed that noise. But he couldn't. After all, that was a baby of his best friend and a woman who gave her life to save him.

So, instead to do a drug, he slowly took a baby in his arms. But what now? Sherlock was so desperate that he even wanted to call Irene for an advice but he gave up before he touched the cell phone.

What did John tell him – milk! Of course, baby had to eat! So he prepared the milk the way John explained him. Eventually, Rosamund was fed and back to sleep.

Sherlock finally could relax.

But, not for so long because the baby started to cry again.

The only time Sherlock felt worse than now was the morning after he and John got drunk, right before John's wedding.

What else did John tell him? Right! The dippers!

The baby probably needs a dippers changing. How bad that could be?

The answer is – very bad. What Sherlock could see the next minute. But, patiently, he successfully, did that too.

Rosamund was fed and her dippers were changed! On Sherlock face has finally appeared a little smile.

But not for so long. The baby started to cry again.

At first, Sherlock thought that he forgot something that John told him but he didn't.

Eventually, he picked up the baby very slowly and started to wave her in his hands. It seemed that she liked that! In the danger that she may cry again, he didn't let her go. He continued to waving her.

After John returned, he found Sherlock in his sofa with the little Rosamund. Both were sleeping.

We can now say that Sherlock Holmes can babysitting as well.
