Don't own anything from Sailor Moon
I'm not useless. So why do you keep underestimating me? Don't laugh at me, you may not believe that it's a power, but I do. I'm not stupid; I can hear your small laugh each time I present my part of the speech. And I know it is wrong to point out just you, because I know that you are not the only one with this opinion, but it hurts me more when you do it. Because you are important to me, and each time I hear that snort or giggle, a little piece of me dies. Can't you just accept it?
Love is a power. Without love, the world would have died a long time ago. Love isn't always romantic, it can be the love between friends, the love of a parent to a child, a child to a pet, or even war. Without the love of our princess, we would be dead. Without our friendship, we wouldn't have lasted as senshi as long as we have. Look at Ami, she loves her books and knowledge, but if we hadn't met her, she would be cold and uncaring, obsessed with only facts. Look at Makoto, she was outcast from everyone else before Usagi and everyone else met her. How long would she be able to live alone, getting into fights constantly?
And you…abandoned at the temple by your father and your mother dead. Your grandfather could have tossed you out on the streets but he didn't, why? Because he loved you, from the moment you were born. And you love him too, even with his odd quirks. You also had a hard time at school, being a Shinto priestess and going to a catholic school. Your fortunetelling powers didn't help either, it just made you even more alienated. But look at you now, you smile and laugh, you chase the princess around with your broomstick, and your hot temper is no longer there. You fight now to save your princess, and you fight to save everything you love and hold dear. Because love compels you to do so, just like it compels all of us.
Can you still honestly say that love is not a power?
Two reasons why I wrote this, the first reason because my friend commented that the worst scout (she only knows the American dub) is Sailor Venus, because she has the power of love. She said that love is not a power, that she's useless and that each time she heard her say something about the power of love, she laughed. That is her opinion, and I honor her opinion, but I believe that Sailor Venus is the leader of the senshi because she is the strongest, because love is what keeps them all alive and together. That's just my opinion.
The second reason is because I have a big writers block for my other stories, so I'm trying to get some creativity going.
