Nothing
"What are you thinking about?" Chouji knew he shouldn't ask, but he couldn't help it.
"Tch." There it was. Chouji had seen it coming.
"Come on, Shikamaru."
"Fine. I'll give you three choices." He had not, however, seen this coming.
"Excuse me?"
"I'll give you three options. Here—let me explain. For a response I can give you common, one-word answer, an allusion which may or may not be vague depending on your previous knowledge, or a complex and confusing description, only slightly nonsensical but entirely serviceable. Your choice."
"Are you joking?"
"Tch. How troublesome."
"Okay, okay." Chouji thought for a moment. "The first one then."
"…"
"Well?!"
"Nothing." Chouji frowned.
"I hate it when you do that, Shikamaru." Chouji's friend only shrugged in reply, and Chouji resolved to never again ask Shikamaru a question when he was cloud watching.
