This is a one-shot inspired by the song "Lips of an Angel" by Hinder. It's one of my favorite songs.

Okay. So. Bella is now a vampire and is living in Alaska with Edward. Jake is still in La Push. And...you will understnad (I hope) when you read the fic. It helps if you listen to the song.

By the way, this AU and in Jake's POV.

My phone buzzed in my pocket. I was a little annoyed, since it was a Friday night and I was watching a movie on the couch with my girlfriend, but when I saw the ID all annoyance faded away.

"I'll be back in a minute." I told Christie, getting up and walking out the back door before answering.

"Hello?" I heard crying on the other end.

"Bella honey what's wrong? Why are you crying?" She hadn't spoken to me in months; something had to be wrong

"I miss you Jake. I just want to see you again." She sobbed. I sat down on the porch. I hadn't heard her voice in so long. It was like an angel's voice, soft and sweet. And my name. The angel said my name. I was having to talk quietly though. Christie would hear if I talked to loud.

"Bells I miss you too. I want to see you more than you could ever imagine. But where's Edward?" I wondered that he was letting her call me; he hated my guts.

"He's out hunting. Jake I want to see you so bad." She sobbed. I sighed; I had been thinking we were past this. Not that I didn't feel the same way…it was just…we both were with other people now. She was in Alaska. I was still on the reservation. It would be a little hard to see each other. I peered in the window. Christie was still watching the movie. I wasn't sure she had even noticed that I was gone, she was so engrossed with it.

"Bells, I wish I could see you too. But we can't. We have to get over each other! You're with Edward, I'm with Christie. We're in different states. We need to be friends; I'm not sure if I can go this long without hearing your voice again. But that's it, honey, friends." It was killing me to say it. I couldn't say how many times I pretended that Christie was Bella. I hated being the rational one.

"I know. But I'm not sure if I can get over you. You were, no, are my sunshine. How can I live without my sun?" She asked quietly. I could see her face, exactly as it would've been, her lips form the words.

"We have to Bells, even though I'm not sure how to live without my angel. I'll always be your sun." Christie had noticed I was gone by now. She looked out the window and made her sad face at me, patting the seat next her. I held up a finger to tell her I'd be there in a minute then turned so that she couldn't possibly lip-read.

"I love you, Jake," my angel said sadly. Did she know how hard she was making this for me?

"I love you, Bells. I always have and always will. You are my angel and I am your sun." I heard a door slam on the other end.

"I have to go now, Jake. Edward's back," she said in a rush before hanging up. I sighed and flipped my phone shut, walking back into the house and sitting down next to Christie.

"Who was that?" She asked me curiously.

"My boss. I had to fight to not have to work tomorrow," I lied quickly, pretending that it was my angel who was leaning against my chest and holding my hand.
