Well, here's a short Drabble. It's based on the song Worldwide, but it's not a song fic. Enjoy!

The phone rang on the bedside table. Arthur slipped on his PJ top and hurried over so it wouldn't go to voicemail. Grabbing the phone off the dock, he held it to his ear, pressing it between his ear and shoulder as he slipped his night pants on.

"'Ello?" Arthur asked, grabbing the phone with his hand and sitting on the edge of the bed.

"Hey, Artie! It's Alfred! What's up?" Arthur was happy his boyfriend couldn't see him through the phone for he would see the Brit's lips curl up in a smile that he rarely showed.

"My name is Arthur, you git," Arthur said harshly, though he was still smiling. "And in case you have forgotten the time difference, I was about to go to bed. It's late here."

Alfred frowned at the phone. No, he would never forget the time difference. It was just another thing that furthur separated them. "Yeah, I know the time difference..."

Arthur didn't notice the tone of voice Alfred used. "Yes, well it's about eleven so-"

"Wait!" Alfred cried, cutting him off. "Before you say anything else, how was your day?" Arthur sighed.

"My day? Well, it was rather boring as usual. I got up, made breakfast... Almost burned down the kitchen... Went for a walk, went food shopping, came home and read, worked a little, and made supper." Alfred listened intently surprising Arthur. Usually the American had a short attention span. He was thankful, though. He liked telling Alfred about his day and loved knowing that Alfred cared. "It was a good day, though."

"That's good! I didn't do much either. I miss you Artie!" Arthur smiled again.

"So, you just called to tell me you miss me?" Arthur asked in a scolding tone, but really he was greatful that Alfred missed him so much, he would call.

"Yup! But I also called to tuck you into bed and say goodnight." Arthur paused, feeling tears prick at his eyes. Alfred would call often at night and say that. He would say on the line until Arthur fell asleep. Arthur never did the same. It was understood that Alfred wanted to tuck /him/ in.

"Yes, well, thank you," Arthur said, trying not to let emotion show in his voice.

"So are you in bed?"

"If this is some kind of phone sex thing, I swear Alfred...!"

"Oh, just get in bed." Arthur could practically feel the eyeroll as he climbed under the covers and pulled them up. Alfred heard the shuffling. "Good. Now, I'm tucking the covers in around your beautiful body. I'm turning off the light and placing a soft kiss to your forehead, then getting in myself."

Arthur could almost feel the familiar actions that Alfred discribed. He wished more than anything that the bed would really creak under extra weight and Alfred would snake his arms around Arthur's slim figure.

"Now, I'm wrapping my awesome hero arms around you and pressing you close to me. I stroke your hair gently and kiss you again." Arthur relaxed into the spot where he would be if Alfred were there. He could almost feel the strong fingers through his hair as his eyes slipped closed.

Before falling asleep, the last thing he heard was his boufriend's sweet voice. "Good night, Arthur. I love you." There was a good five minutes of silence in which Arthur fell asleep.

"... I miss you."

OoOoO

Alfred threw off his t-shirt and pulled on his PJ pants as his cell phone started to buzz. His pants around his ankles, he dove for the phone that lay in the middle of the bed.

"Hello?" he shouted into the phone as he fumbled to pull up his pants.

"Alfred. It's Arthur," a voice mumbled.

"Oh, hey Artie! Is something wrong?" Alfred asked sitting down on the bed.

"No... I uh... Called because I..."

"Because you...?" Alfred pressed. There was a sharp inhale of breath on the other end.

"It's time for bed isn't it? Let me tuck you in."

Sorry if this is screwed up Dx I updated and wrote this on my iPod. Sorry! Hope you enjoyed!
