A/N This idea refused to go away until I wrote about it. I'm not sure what it will bring, but the song is 'I Want You' by Faith Hill.
An eagle wants a canyon
And a place where he can rest his wings awhile.
A drifter want a freight train
That'll carry him another hundred miles.
A lion's only lookin'
For somethin' he can sink his teeth into,
Oh, and I want you.
For the millionth time, Bella attempted to explain to Edward how much he meant to her. More than life, more than anything else, she wanted him and only him.
He shook his head, a movement only for himself, and thought, 'if only you knew.' "In a hundred years, Bella you may look back and realize that this isn't at all the life you would have chosen if you went back and redid it. I can't take that chance with you."
A devil wants a fellow
With a weakness he can wrap his arms around.
A champion wants a challenger
Who just might have the strength to bring him down.
A river wants an ocean
To run towards and pour it's heart into.
Oh, and I want you.
Oh, and I want you.
"We were apart for a half of a year, and I only loved you that much more when you came back. That has to prove something. Actually, I know exactly what it proves: time cannot separate us, whether it be six months or a hundred years," Bella retorted, upset that he still couldn't see her point, hiding how the idea of one hundred years with Edward thrilled her.
He loved to hear her say that, that she loved him that much and she truly believed it; he could see it in her eyes. He could also see the pain it caused her to think that they couldn't be together for all eternity. He took her in his arms.
Woah, every time that I'm around you,
Woah, I'm on fire when we touch.
Woah, when I hold you boy
You know I just can't get close enough.
Yes, I want you.
Bella wrapped her arms around him, at which he smiled. "I understand. I just don't want to take any chances with you, especially when it's so permanent."
She kissed him lightly before saying, "You know, if you wanted to avoid anything permanent; you have already failed. The love I have for you, that's more permanent than anything else you could possibly do to me." At this, he looked ecstatic, and bent down to her so that he could kiss her once more.
All I'm gonna give you is nothin'
But the bare, naked truth;
Baby, I want you.
Baby, I want you.
A/N I understand that that is not the entire song, but I really don't think that the rest of the song applies to Bella and Edward, so I skipped a bunch of the song. If you think it's crappy, oh well. It was a plot bunny that attacked me with such viciousness that I just had to write at that very moment and post it as soon as I was done to avoid chickening out. Se the little button down there? Yeah push it. You know you want to...
