THE SAND ASND THE SEA

I don't own Naruto or whatever.

This is my very first fanfic and even though this is yaoi I'm straight. This is for a friend.

"I'm going to go for a walk."

"Are you crazy? We're supposed to be undercover."

"Don't worry they won't recognize me."

"Are you sure?"

"Of course, I am a rogue ninja after all." He said with a smile

"Fine but don't be out to long."

While the village of Sunagakure Haku and Zabuza are taking a stop on the way to the land of waves to finish the assassination of the Mizukage they started years ago.

While taking his walk Haku notices something. Quickly he jolts around with senbon already in hand. He is surprised to see a redheaded boy standing behind him.

"Who are you and why are you following me?" Haku asked.

"….."

"Answer me." He said with death in his gaze.

"Gaara…." The boy finally said.

"What?"

"My name is Gaara of the Desert."

"Ok, there's your name now tell me why you've been following me Gaara of the Desert", Haku said clenching the senbon tighter.

With one look into this boy's eyes, Haku was very nervous. While Gaara, like always, was very unemotional.

"Wait, why are you out this late?" Haku said lowering his guard slightly.

"Shouldn't you be at your home?"

"I've seen you in town." Gaara said like he always does.

"What?" said a very confused Haku.

Just then Gaara's sand shot at Haku, but by that time Haku was already in the air.

Gaara slightly chuckled and retracted his sand.

When Haku landed Gaara started to say something.

"You once had lonely eyes" said Gaara. "I know what its like to be lonely. I wish I could be happy now like you are. Show me please."

Haku looked very dumbstruck at what he had said. Just then he looked into Gaara's eyes. Haku was filled with emotion and dropped the senbon he was holding. He had no idea what this feeling was or what to do, but following his guts told him to be with this boy and so he started walking toward Gaara.

In turn Gaara starts making his way to Haku.

Every step they took the electricity between them increased.

Before they knew it they were right in front of each other. Haku was nervous, confused, and shocked that he would feel this way for another boy. He was so confused, but he followed his instincts and leaned in. Surprisingly so did Gaara. Then at that moment they shared the most passionate perfect kiss in both their lives.

When they broke their kiss they looked deeply into each others eyes. Haku tried to say another word but couldn't make it out.

Haku then became shocked and disgusted at himself. He ran away on the verge of tears.

Gaara, sadder and lonelier than ever went off to cool down.

Back at Haku and Zabuza's hideout, Haku came busting through the door crying. Zabuza gave a slightly disgusted look and asked.

"What's wrong Haku?" he half heartedly said.

"Nothing" he said through his tears. "I need to be alone."

The next day they were off for another village. Then Haku stopped and took a long look back at Sunagakure.

"Are you coming Haku"

"Yeah, I'm just really gonna miss this place."
