Sam, Jack, Daniel and Teal'c all gated to a new planet where they were going to investigate a new Goa'uld threat.
"Sir!?" Sam screamed when she noticed that Teal'c wasn't there. They were surrounded by trees and there was a plat form in front of them. They went to investigate.
"Carter, where'd you suppose Teal'c went?" Jack asked and Sam looked at him with her wide, beautiful dough eyes.
"Sir, I theorize that he's been teleported into this device," she pointed to the device that was filled with writing all over it, but it was glowing so it had to have some power.
Daniel looked it over and agreed. "Jack, I think she's right. This must be some kind of test." He said.
"What kind of test?" Jack asked Sam. "I'm not good with pop quizzes. Is it like one of those?" He asked in that way of his. He did not want his team to be worried and always felt it was good to joke. Besides, he loved to make Sam smile and she did, just for him.
"So Carter, what do we do to get him out of it?" Jack asked her. He knew there was no science she could not figure out and he was always so secretly proud of her. He liked to say he loved her for her brains, not just her looks even though she was very pretty. Except he couldn't say it to anybody because it was their secret to keep.
"According to this, the test should be taken by one man and one woman." Sam said and she looked into Jack's eyes and she knew, deep inside that this was something they would have to do, because they needed to rescue their team mate.
Jack nodded and stood next to her. "Carter, are we going to have to click our heals and say 'there's no place like home?' he grinned and took her hand in his. She grinned back and laughed.
"Sir, no, I just need to touch the symbols like this." She grabbed both sides of the artifact and the light flashed and Sam held on to jack very tightly. Her chest heaved in fright and she hugged him close, she knew he had believed in her and she would never let him down.
They were transported into the darkness and Jack did not want to let her go in his arms. He could feel her tremble and since it was dark, he could not help but bend down and kiss her softly in the lips. It was his first time kissing and he could not believe how lucky he was. He felt her smile and wished he could see her beautiful dough eyes.
It was then that they head a cough and when they opened their eyes, they could see!
It was Teal'c! He was hole! Sam squealed and ran to him and gave him a hug.
"Are you ok? She asked?
"I am fine."
Sam smiled and looked over to Jack and she was so proud to be right there, standing next to the man that she had always loved.
"Sir, I think we can gate back now. Its too bad their is nothing here we can bring back to the SGC. I think it's too dangerous to come back again."
"Thank you Samantha Carter for saving my life."
"We're a team Tea'lc. One day you will remember what that means." She smiled and she pressed her hands against the artifact and they were beamed again through the stargate.
General Hammond wanted to know what happened but Jack told him it was very boring and they would type it in the report. Secretly Jack wanted to go home as quickly as possible so that he and Sam could finish what they started back on that planet. He certainly felt that their coming there together like that was almost meant to be and he secretly wondered if maybe his pal Thor had a hand in finally getting them together.
