Disclaimer: I don't own Inuyasha... but sometimes I pretend I do, and write bad poetry.

Still I Rise

In a body made of bone and soil
I take a breath, that's not my own
Clinging, scratching, clawing…I rise

The light is bright; my eyes are dim
I feel the pain from this soul within; how strange it is to live again!
Yet…. I rise

On wobbling legs I take a step; the cold earth up my flesh
I reach out with pale hands of death; seeking warmth from my lovers breath
In fear he shuns my desperate touch; confusion fills my heart of dust

Memories flash before my eyes; a Miko dead, from her lovers lies
Blood stained hands, reveal his fate; darkness takes me from this place
Through weightless space, I feel a warmth; I look above, and ….I rise

Oh, hands of fate conceal my shame; and hide me from this bitter hate
Consumed with ache; I run away, escaping from his eyes of gold
I dash my foot upon a stone; and tumble to the world below
Eels of mercy take my hand; guide me up, above the land

Unable to live; unable to die I rise; still…. I rise.

A/N: Okay, so I won't quit my day job. I suck at poetry, but I was sitting around doing nothing and came up with this. Review if you want to tell me what you think.
