I feel terrible about leaving this with nothing for so long. So I did this little snippet and I swear, that by Friday latest I shall have a new chapter up!
The kits didn't seem to mind the two new additions at all. Momichi and Yuki had been very wary at first, but after meeting the kits well… Yuki had become somewhat of the kits cousin while Momichi became another uncle. Naruto had offered to 'catch' them but they had both confessed they weren't quite ready for that yet and would just like to stick around a little longer and decide.
Naruto was talking inside the Pokémon centre with Momichi when two people ran in, clutching their Pokémon to their chests, looking worried. "Nurse Joy!"
One of the Nurse Joy's (the cousin to the one he'd first met apparently) looked up and gasped. "Oh dear!" she fretted as her Chansey wheeled the two fainted Pokémon away on stretchers.
"What happened?" Naruto asked, concerned.
"It was the Squirtle Squad!" the younger of the two trainers said.
"Where's this Squirtle Squad?" Naruto said as he got to his feet.
"Daffodil Town," the elder replied. "It's north east of here. The paths really hard to find though. That's why most people get lost between here and there."
"We can show you if you like," the younger trainer said quietly.
After they had been showed the path, Naruto, the Eevees and the two newest members of the family began to make their way to Daffodil. It didn't take very long at the speed that Naruto pushed them, and when they arrived, Naruto had to forcibly stop the others from falling into a hidden hole.
"Why are we coming after this Squirtle Gang anyway?" Momichi puffed. The disguised Gyarados would never admit it, but the pace Namikaze had put up had left him barely able to keep up. Not to mention that he was hauling Kubikiri on his back. The knife was heavy!
"Because," Naruto said as he led them around the trap, "the kits need to do some more training." Said kits looked ready to cry at that statement.
"So what are you going to do? Battle them?" Momichi said doubtfully.
Naruto looked offended. "Who do you think I am? No, my dear little children are going to give them a taste of their own medicine."
The Eevees perked up. "Pwank dem?" Sasuke said excitedly. Naruto grinned and nodded his head.
Now for anyone wondering, the Squirtle Squad was located in an unknown town. Seeing as Pokémon has this thing for naming their towns after flowers - Saffron, Lavender - I just picked the first flower of the top of my head and so I present Daffodil Town :)
