Someplace...
An alternate reality...
On a floating island...

"Why have you come here?" the blue-skinned, handsome young man in the tuxedo asked, as they walked down a concrete ramp to a large, square-like, black-armored hangar. His companions, a muscular Japanese man in battered blue jeans, a red shirt, with a red headband, and an athletic, agile- looking Chinese woman in a simple blue dress, her graying brown hair done up into buns, just shrugged.
"The others just wanted to be done with fighting. After the wars, which killed so many of the Webmasters, everyone just wanted to settle down and have a family life, or go back to their careers. THe two of us however..." the Japanese man said in accented English.
The Chinese woman finished for him, in perfect Victorian English, "... I guess we just couldn't let it go. That's why we agreed to act as trainers for the fighters when they come."
The blue-skinned man nodded. "But, after everything I've done, I would think that you'd want to avoid me."
The Chinese woman smiled. "We believe in second chances. And you really have changed a lot from the jerk you used to be when we last met you."
The Japanese man chuckled. "Aside from that, we like you. You amuse us. Even if you are a half-blooded troll."
The blue-skinned man fumed. The Chinese woman giggled. Then she said, "Oh, and so we don't get confused with our counterparts, call me Xiang, and call him Hoshii."
The blue-skinned man chuckled. "Using your last names from the crap movie, huh?"
Hoshii shrugged. "It just seemed appropriate. Aside from that, after the Power Rangers saved our lives from the vampire that last time, they made us agree to use them when we got back into fighting."
Xiang grimaced. The blue-skinned man grinned, and said, "It just goes to show you, never believe that anyone is as sucky as they seem on TV."
"Whatever," both Hoshii and Xiang said as they reached the hanger.
"Are the others inside?" Xiang asked. The blue-skinned man nodded.
"Each one has their orders. And each one has details on the nodal storyline their target's followed up to a certain point."
"Good," Hoshii said, opening the door. "Well, Mysterio, we're off."
"Good luck, guys," Mysterio said, turning back towards the main building. Hoshii and Xiang smiled at each other, and went inside.
Mysterio sighed, and when he got halfway back, turned and watched as various silvery, bullet-shaped cruisers took off and flew towards a massive portal in the sky. He shook his head, and walked back to the giant building in the center of the island, emblazoned with the styled letters A, M, T...
