A/N I would like to thank all the readers who have taken the time to read my story. I am by no means a professional writer, just a girl who loves to write in her spare time. I would appreciate feedback to know how I am doing and if I should continue to post.
Disclaimer: I do not own the Outsiders. Just Miley, Owen and the story line.
Intro
Love is something that can never be replaced. The love of a mother,
father, sister, brother and even the love of a partner are all different but essential to life. I
had lots of love growing up. With two loving parents and three over protective brothers it
was hard not to. At the age of fourteen, I was finally old enough to date and fell into the
arms of Owen O'Connor. My brothers hated him. He was a "Soc" from the south side of
Tulsa. Socs were the rich kids who rode into our neighborhood and jumped us "greasers".
It didn't help the Owens father just happened to be the mayor of Tulsa, making Owen one
of the richest kids in Okalahoma. All three brothers thought he would hurt me. But within
a year they all realized that he was a great guy who treated their baby sister like a
princess. He ignored social boundaries and stereotypes and fell for a poor greaser girl like
me. My mama adored Owen. She thought he was a handsome gentleman and often
bragged about us to her friends. Darry, my oldest brother at twenty one, also grew to like
Owen. They both shared a love of football and Darry often took me to Owens games.
Even my father grew to like Owen. Though he would always be the first guy to take his
baby girl. And I intended him to be the last.
I always had a great relationship with my brothers. Darry was my
protector, Soda was my comforter and Pony was my twin and my best friend. Darry
attended classes at the university of Tulsa on a football scholarship. He was very strong
and stood at 6'8. Sodapop was sixteen. He was the compassionate and carefree brother.
Soda was the best looking out of all of us but I had been told many times that I came in
close second. Ponyboy was fifteen and my twin. But you would never guess it. Soda and
I looked more like twins than Pony and I did. Like myself, Pony was put up a grade in
school. We were practically attached at the hip.
Than there was the gang. Twobit was the goofball, Steve was Sodas
best friend, Dallas was the toughest and Johnny was the pet. We were one motley crew
but we stuck together through think or thin. My name is Miley Lynn Curtis and this is my
story.
