"Draco… do you believe in fate?" Hermione rolled over to look at him, staring intently into his grey eyes.

"Would you believe me if I said I did?" Draco stared back

"Well, let's see, we're both married," Hermione looked downcast when she said those words, but still continued, "We're in love with each other, and we have to hide it."

"And that's my point exactly. I'm being punished for my past deeds, but the thing is that I have to drag you along with me."

"Why would you think you're being punished?"

"The woman I love is right here with me and yet I can't scream it out to the entire Wizarding World because of a few… let's say, indiscretions."

"Indiscretions? We're married, let's face it. It's a miracle we haven't been caught for this long."

"Can't we at least forget that little fact while we're here together though?"

Hermione looked lovingly at the man before her and grabbed his left hand. She grasped his ring finger and slipped off the simple gold band. She proceeded into slipping her own silver band off and whispered, "I always do."

Draco cupped Hermione's cheek into his hands and pulled her into a sweet kiss. He took their rings and placed them onto the nightstand and held her into a protective embrace. She closed her eyes and so did he.

They both dreamt of a place where they could both escape their realities and forget about their lives and instead just focus on the two of them being together for eternity.

On the nightstand, the inscription on the gold band read,

To my darling Draco, Daphne Greengrass.

On the silver read,

To my love Hermione, Ron Weasley.
