(A/N: Hey, people! This is just a short oneshot that I thought was very cute. It was written by my friend Sarah, so . . . yeah. Enjoy!)

A Rainy Day

Summary: A rainy Saturday can be a bit of a drag. But when you add a sad movie and two friends, some pretty interesting things can happen. Zekepay oneshot.

Zeke made himself a sandwich, got an apple, one of his very delicious chocolate chip cookies and a Mountain Dew and went upstairs. He sat down on his bed and looked at his interesting lunch. Sighing, he started eating his sandwich. His phone rang and Zeke grabbed it.

"Hello?" he said, the greeting sounding blurred because he had shoved half of the sandwich in his mouth.

"Hi," a girl said on the other line. Not just any girl, but Sharpay.

Zeke quickly swallowed his sandwich. "What're you calling about?" This question may have sounded mean but Sharpay and Zeke never really talked. A little here and there, but not as much as Zeke would like to.

"I'm so bored! There's nothing to do and everyone's busy!" Sharpay whined.

"Tell me about it," Zeke agreed.

He let Sharpay moan and whine until he felt like he could hang up on her.

"How about I take you to a movie. My treat," Zeke said, interrupting Sharpay.

"OK. Can we see Marley and Me?" Sharpay asked. "The dog is so cute."

"Sure, I'll pick you up in half an hour," Zeke said. They hung up and Zeke ate quickly.

Zeke pulled up into Sharpay's driveway half an hour later. He got out of the car and was about to ring the doorbell when Sharpay came out.

"Hey, Zeke," Sharpay said.

"Hey." They got in the car and Zeke started driving to the theater and it was silent. He turned the radio on and the volume way up. Sharpay turned it down. Zeke turned it up. They kept arguing over the volume until they reached the theater.

Zeke got out of the car and he and Sharpay walked into the theater in silence.

"I'm excited. The puppy looks so cute!" Sharpay said. Zeke bought the tickets and bought drinks for the both of them.

"I've heard that the ending's really sad," Sharpay continued.

Zeke stopped in his tracks. "I'm going to a chick flick? No way."

Sharpay stopped as well. "If you don't want to go, you've wasted your money. Besides, you agreed to the movie."

"Fine."

"Besides, the puppy is so cute!"

They found Theater 1 and found seats near the back in the mid aisle. Throughout the movie, there was laughing and aww-ing and at the end, some people were in tears.

Two hours later, Sharpay and Zeke exited the theater.

"That was a good movie, wasn't it?" Sharpay said.

Zeke commented, "It wasn't bad."

They found the car and Zeke unlocked it and they got in. They were almost to Sharpay's house when Zeke turned into the addition.

"Did you fun on the date?"

Sharpay's head turned quickly. "Date? What date?"

"I asked you to go to the movies with me, which in my book is considered a date."

"So, if you go to the movies with one of the guys, you consider it a date?"

"Heck no! When I ask a girl to the movies, I consider it a date."

"Well, I don't."

"Well, was it a date or not?" Zeke asked.

THE END

A/N Was it a date or not? That's what you get to decide! If you review, just say if you think the movie should be a date or not. I'll be working on a sequel soon. Please review and look for a sequel. -Sarah

Hey, so did you like it? I hope you did! Please review with kind words, of course! Thanks! ~Melissa
