"Well look at you! You three grovelling in submission! Yes, Hego, of course, Hego, anything you say, Hego! And you! Always grovelling and showing off to get that front page story. Oh yes Mr. I'm-such-a-big-tough-super-hero! You make me sick. You're sacrificing this family to feed your ambition. Have you ever thought of the rest of us? Have you ever thought that maybe we'd like the chance for a normal life? Have you?!"

"Tomorrow we'll have a press conference and you can apologize to the Mayor and the people of Go City-"

"You don't get it, do you? I don't want this anymore! I'm through playing by the rules of your imaginary superhero world. I'm not going to second-guess myself anymore. I'm not going to listen to you ravings anymore. I've changed, Hego! I'm not your little sister that you can push around anymore. And if I have to defy all of Go City to be myself, then so be it! It's time that I did something."

"You're deluding yourself Shego."

"Maybe I am. It doesn't matter. I'm through, Hego. I'm through accepting the limits you put on me; telling me what to say and do because you're 'the leader'. I've been afraid of leaving you all: you're my family right? Well, you know what? Families don't act like this! We're not a family anymore, and I refuse to continue acting like it. I'm leaving, and you can't stop me."

"You won't be happy-"

"Does it matter, Hego? I'll be happier anywhere but here. You told me that these powers were destiny. Well, maybe it's my destiny to leave. And if I'm on my own, well that's the way it's meant to be. Tell everyone how I left; how I defied the Mayor, how I defied you, how I defied all of Go City! And when I'm in higher renown than you, don't come to me grovelling like the pathetic worm you are! And you can't make me stay."

"Hego! Hego, she's evil!"

"We have to stop her!"

"You can't make me stay!"

AN: This is a random, spur-of-the-moment, one-shot. If you pay attention the dialogue echoes the lyrics to "Defying Gravity" from the musical "Wicked". The title does as well. (Defying Gravity-Defying Gocity. Aren't I clever?) And, no, they're not singing. It's just dialogue. Anyway, leave reviews. Flame if you must. Anyonymous reviews are enabled.

Maybe I'll actually get a story going sooner or later. "Remaining Good" has bit the dust, probably never to be revived- it got away from where I wanted it to go, and I'm not feeling ambitious enough to try to revise it to get back on track. I've got some random bullted ideas I came up with after "Graduation" that I might develop... The more reviews I get, the faster it'll most likely happen.
