Studying
Tap... Clack... Tap... Tap... Clunk... Clack... Tap...
The uneven sound of a pen caused Feliciano to stir from his sleep with confusion and slight annoyance, swiping his messy auburn locks from his vision. Stepping out of bed, he stilled for a moment as his bare feet met the cold, unforgiving wooden floors that had been chilled by the late night.
The black clock on the bedside table glowed 2:41 AM in a truthful and awake shade of red. Feliciano seemed more than displeased to be awake at the cold time of a November night, hesitating with his hand on the cold brass doorknob of his bedroom before waking thought caught up to the Italian.
Where is Luciano? He wasn't in bed. What is that tapping? Could it be he's living a horror movie? Thoughts swam like whales of confusion, eating up the small man's mind. Finally gulping down his fears, he pushed open the door, walked down the hallway and turned to the room the sound came from. The study.
There another, shorter, quieter man sat, staring over a page with bloodshot eyes, red hair nearly hiding his entire face instead of the one half it usually does, he tapped a pen inconsistently against the wooden table.
"Luciano..?" The first man spoke from the doorway. "Are you still awake?" His voice came out soft, sleepy yet concerned.
Luciano only nodded, his somewhat long, red hair bouncing with the motion. He stopped tapping the pen, just staring at the page.
Feliciano slowly walked into the room. "Have you been here all night?" He asked, watching Luciano bob his head again. "What are you doing?"
"Studying." The other's shy voice came out as a croak, dry from unuse.
"Come on." Feliciano attempted to lift Luciano from his chair. "You must be exhausted."
Limply, Luciano nodded, his weak body falling against his boyfriend as he let himself be carried back to bed.
Once safe in the bedroom, Feliciano nuzzled his hair, giving soft bits of affection to his boyfriend until Luciano went under the spell of sleep, conquered by exhaustion.
"Ti amo," Feliciano whispered, kissing the other's cheek before letting his eyes close and falling asleep.
