Hello! This is my first Tokyo Ghoul fanfic. I hope you all like it or very disturbed by it. Writer goals!

He was drowning. Not in water, but in centipedes. He didn't know where he was or what he was doing, but it became apparent to him that the wriggling legs that crawled over his face, into his ears, under his shirt, and around his neck were Chinese red headed centipedes.

They were not like the small insects that he used to see when other rocks were pried up. Each one reached 30 centimeters. They bit him just as much as they crawled over him. They must have carried some venom because each bite sent a wave of nausea and pain over him.

For some reason, he was missing his fingers and toes. Why was this happening? What was happening? None of this made sense!

"This is the life you've chosen, Kaneki," a female voice rang in his ears. How did he choose this? Without warning, a wave of hunger rolled over him. It was so strong that he screamed. As he did, three of the centipedes crawled into his mouth. To say it was disgusting is an understatement. He could feel their smooth shells on his tongue and against his lips. He felt their wriggling legs on the inside of his cheek. There was a feeling of one in his ear, and he stiffened as he felt it crawling around inside his head. Hearing the high pitched movements of the thing made him gag.

Spitting them out wasn't easy at all. Neither was standing. He couldn't get up and run away from this nightmarish scene.

"It's better to feel pain than inflict it on others." That voice rang out again. The centipedes faded and all what was left was just voices.

"You're not a ghoul. I know that much, but you're not human either."

"Eyepatch."

"Why did you turn out like this?"

"Let's go home, Kaneki."

Blood was everywhere. Why was he here?

"Let's go home, Kaneki." Repeated a voice. Then everything went dark.

Haise Sasaki bolted upright in a cold sweat. He ran a hand through his hair, grateful to find that it had all five fingers. It wasn't normal for him to think about the past, he didn't want to. If he did, Haise Sasaki would be gone. This was one of those rare times where he thought about the past. He wouldn't strain himself because he didn't think it was worth it, but for a second he indulged himself. "What kind of demented past did I have?" he asked the dark room.

So that's it. He had a nightmare, it would not be hard to have nightmares in this anime universe... Please Review!
