Life's A Domino Effect
Harleen knew she was screwed the second she gazed into his piercing blue eyes. She had been warned, he was a monster, a manipulator, but when she looked into his eyes she saw a small boy searching for acceptance, to be loved. She knew everything he told her was a lie, he had told the first therapist he had ever been forced to see that he could not really remember much from before his accident and she believed it; all he really knew was that his name was Jack Napier and his wife and unborn were dead, but that was told to her in confidence as he lied his head on her naked chest one night. Though they kissed and touched during their sessions, Harleen never let it get too far, not that she did not want to but because her only consensual time had been with Guy. Their first time was three days after her acid bath; J took it slow since she still felt raw, but each thrust was as powerful as possible. After that they fucked for a week straight, only leaving their bedroom once or twice to eat.
He played therapist during most of their later sessions, listening as she poured her heart out to him, telling him things she had never told anyone else before; how her mother verbally abused her, how her father was in and out of jail her entire childhood, and most painful of all, how one of his grimy friends assaulted her. It was during one of his poker games when she was four years old, one of her father's con-artist buddies snuck into her room and raped her; she was so confused at the time, she was young and had been asleep at the time. When she told her mother the next morning she all but laughed in her face, thankfully her she had a teacher who cared. She noticed that Harleen was acting distant and had someone from social services come to the school immediately and take her to the hospital. When she worked up the courage to tell J, he had the criminal killed and brought her his head as a gift; he also gave a sizeable donation to the teacher who helped her. She knew she would never get the love from him that she saw in the movies, he would never walk along the beach with her, never make her a candle light dinner, but she didn't need that, all she needed was him and that is what she got.
