"I've got an idea," Dean announced. Sam paused and looked at him questioningly.

Dean indulged in a brief sigh of relief as the car fell blissfully silent. "Let's play I Spy!" His enthusiasm was false and Sam knew it.

"… Sure. You go first."

Dean eyed the demonic device in the five-year-olds hands, desperate to do anything to keep it silent. "Okay. I spy something… brown."

"The cows." Sam deadpanned.

"Nope."

Sam blinked. "That's all there is out there Dean! Cows, cows standing, cows laying, cows grazing, cows pooping, cows, cows, cows! For the past three hundred miles, just cows!"

Sam had a point; there hadn't been anything outside the windows but cows for quite a while now.

"There is nothing brown out there but cows," Sam reiterated sulkily. They were both very tired of being in the car.

However, in one swift motion Dean reached across the seat, snatched the demonic brown kazoo that Sam had been tooting on incessantly for hours now and lunched it out the window. "Now there is."

It took exactly twenty three seconds of Sam's emo-kicked-puppy-I'm-going-to-start-crying-and-tell-dad-on-you look for Dean to cave.

"Sorry," he muttered, "I'll get you a new one next time we stop."
