It was a Tuesday afternoon, with a flight on their way to Domino City. Everything was going smoothly, just like any other normal trip to Domino City had been up to this point. No one thought anything of it, at least not until a few gun fires were heard in the captain's cabin. People on the flight started freaking out. After a few minutes, a man from al Qaeda walked out, pointing his AK-47 at the passengers, threatening to kill anyone who dared to even attempt to stop them. At that point, a British teenager began laughing sinisterly, as some sort of object that looked to be straight out of Egypt began to glow.
"Well, now, normally I'm all for death and destruction, but unfortunately for you, my host is on this plane, and I still need him so I can steal the Millennium Puzzle from the Pharaoh. Not to mention Seto Kaiba still needs to be alive, so I can't have you running into KaibaCorp," the British child said.
"Who are you?" the terrorist asked, looking almost terrified of what was going on.
"You may refer to me as Bakura, although that's merely my host's name. If I were to tell you my real name, that might give away too many spoilers for season five, and we can't have that happening, now can we?"
The terrorist looked puzzled. "I don't know what you're talking about, kid, but you should back off before we have to take you down personally," he threatened.
Bakura laughed, as a strange dark cloud began engulfing the plane.
"How about this?" Bakura asked. "We can play a little Shadow Game to determine whether your little plan is successful or not. If you win, then you may continue with your little plan to destroy KaibaCorp. But if not, then you will live the rest of your existence in total darkness, stuck forever in the Shadow Realm!"
The terrorist was thrown a duel disk by Bakura. "What's the meaning of this?" he asked.
"Like I said, just a little Shadow Game to determine our fates." Bakura said.
"But what about this giant wrist band thing? What do I use this for?"
"Wait are you telling me you've never heard of Duel Monsters?"
"Duel what?"
"Duel Monsters."
"Never heard of it. Look kid, I have to seriously crash this plane into KaibaCorp, and your little magic trick won't scare me, so if you'll excuse me…"
Bakura then drew a card known as Man-Eater Bug and somehow brought the monster to life, demanding it to kill the terrorist.
Bakura then ran into the captain's cabin and took control of the plane, steering it away from KaibaCorp, and instead landing it where it was initially meant to.
As Bakura was leaving the plane, he noticed the news on TV about how today, September 11th, 2001, marked the biggest terrorist attack in history, but with one of the targets being foiled by an unknown hero.
"Refer to me as the protagonist again, and I swear I'll find you and I will make your life an eternal Hell," Bakura said.
