Questionable Kiss

Rin placed his hand on the top of his head. He ruffled his hand through his hair as he stared at the latest problem on his homework assignment. "I don't get this at all. Shiemi, do you know what we're suppose to do?" He gazed over at the blond.

Rin had come over to Shiemi's place to study. He had been having a hard time with his homework lately and since his brother was always too busy he figured she could help him out. The two sat in the living room of the house while Shiemi's mother was out getting more supplies.

Shiemi sat beside him on her knees. Her hands were placed on her legs as her legs rubbed together. Her cheeks were a puffy red as her nervous sweat flowed down her face. "Shiemi, what's the matter?" Rin asked. Rin had his hands down beside him with his legs crossed.

Shiemi looked over at the older of the Okumura twins. "Rin, can I ask you a question?"

Rin blushed a bit. "Sure?" He wasn't sure why Shiemi was acting so nervous. She hardly showed a shy nervous side around him anymore. She was secured enough in their relationship to talk openly to him about things that were on her mind including her fears. At least he thought so up until this moment.

Shiemi lowered her gazed. She felt too uneasy about the subject to look Rin directly in his eyes. "Well we've been dating for awhile. So I was wondering…" Her heartbeat increased. She placed her loose fist on her chest. She felt as if her heat was going to come right out of her chest.

Rin leaned in closer with a strange look on his face. Why was Shiemi acting so weird all of a sudden? They had been dating for the past month with no problems so what was with her trailing off and all of this shy behavior.

"Rin, how come you've never kiss me?" she finally spoke. Rin straightened his back as he held onto his feet as he understood the girl's fears out loud. "I heard when people date the guy usually kisses the girl after the first few dates, but you've never," Shemi's cheeks grew redder, "even attempted to kiss me, Rin." She raised her head to look directly into the half demon's eyes.

Rin averted his eyes. His tail wagged behind him. "I guess I didn't want to pressure you is all." Shiemi was Rin's first girlfriend; his first chance at actually kissing a girl that more than made him nervous about doing the deed. He had practiced on a pillow, but that was as far as he got.

Shiemi laid her hands on top of his shoulders, getting his attention. Her big green eyes were trembling. She was as nervous as him. He could tell, but she wanted to do it. She was willing to conquer her fear to be closer to him.

Atomically Rin's hands lifted up to cup Shiemi's cheeks. He brought her close, his lips pressed over hers, and his eyes descended shut to feel that moment of time. Shiemi didn't fight for anything. She now had her answer.

She craved to kiss him back. She pushed her lips harder on Rin's, maybe a little too hard as Rin used his hands to slightly back her up. She was so bad at this. She could tell. She really wanted to be a good kisser. Rin turned his head slightly to the side to deepen the kiss.

Shiemi felt her body warm up. She lightly placed her hand on Rin's cheek. Their passion grew and then descended as they broke the kiss. They looked at each other with half open eyes of love. A slight smile rose on their lips.

"So how was that?" Rin asked.

A cough from the other side of the table interrupted the couple. They looked over to see Yukio standing there with his hand on his hip. Yukio pushed up his glasses on the bridge of his noise. "Aren't you two supposed to be studying?"

A sweat drop rolled down the back of both their heads.
