Simon groggily opened an eye, staring out at the room and watching Baz's form in the bed next to him slowly come into focus. He blinked and sighed. He waited. And he listened.

Hello sleepy head. the voice said. Simon let out a breath, eyes closing. What, not happy to hear me?

"Am I ever?" He mumbled, sitting up.

"What?"

Simon turned to see Baz staring at him, eyes squinted and sitting up in his own bed. Simon sighed. "Nothing."

He got up and shakily made his way to the bathroom. When he got there, he closed and locked the door before leaning against it and slowly sliding down into a sitting position. He pulled his knees up to his body and allowed his head to hang forward.

Are you sulking? Come on Simon, we both know I won't be going anywhere soon.

Simon could practically see the sneer on its face. If it had one, that is.

Alright, now get up you big idiot. We've established this how many times? Now get up. Face the day like a big boy.

Simon clenched his teeth. It would be one of those days. The days where the voice was just constantly growling and grovelling at him.

"Shut up" he hissed through his teeth.

Baz's sudden knocking at the door made him jump.

"Are you done yet? Hurry up, it's nearly 7:00." Baz said through the wood. Simon sighed and forced himself up, listening to Baz walk around their room. He grabbed his brush and slowly began to brush his teeth.

Finally.

XXXXXXX

Baz sighed and sat up, pressing his face into his palms. He slowly let out a breath.

Rise and shine.

He took another deep breath. Off to his right, he heard Simon whisper something.

"What?" he asked, head swiveling around and eyes narrowed.

"Nothing"

Baz sighed again as Simon walked past the foot of his bed and into the bathroom.

-I hate him...- he thought to himself.

No you don't.

He groaned again. The voice was never going to leave. Apparently, neither was Simon. He forced his way out of bed and made himself seem busy for a few minutes before finally walking to the bathroom door and sharply knocking on it.

"Are you done yet? Hurry up, it's nearly 7:00." he called, trying to make his voice sound dull. He heard Simon sigh and move. He sighed too and went back to making himself busy for the next five minutes until Simon left, breezing past him and out their door.

Baz stared after him.

You're never going to get over him. the voice said.

"I know," he growled. The voice went quiet, but it wasn't gone. It was just waiting. Baz sucked in a breath and made his way to the bathroom.

A/N: Alrighty! My own AU I guess! It will all be explained soon. The basics? Simon and Baz both have voices in their heads and that's all I can say for the moment. Also, when it's in italics, it's one of the voices speaking. When it has the -dash- before and after, it's either Simon or Baz's thought process. Anyways, it's past 10:00 and I have a unit final for AP world studies tomorrow. Sorry for the hella long hiatus's. Love you all!
